Whatever Happened To Jack Thompson? I have not heard from the idiot in a while, was he killed by one of those people who play too much violent video games and are affected by it? Did he get his brain back? Or did he have an "Common Sense Restoration" surgery?
I suspect that he found out how foolish he looked and backed out quick. You could probably, if you were really interested, do an internet search and find out what he's doing now. But he definitely backed off on EA/Maxis products. (But not before they decided they needed to remove the ability for the blur cheats to work, probably with a bit of pressure from the ratings board.)
He was probably the flavor of the month like a lot of these activists. I suspect we'll hear from him again the next time a company releases a questionable game.

Eh? I am outraged. Is this a feature of Nightlife? If so I will not buy it. It is cultural imperialism gone mad. If I can undress a Barbie without having to put on blurry spectacles why does my super-duper graphics display have to go all ZX81 on me for no good reason other than to appease a sick-minded, self-appointed guardian of public morals? If Maxis wanted to fix up a display problem their time could have been better spent making floors opaque both ways so that upper floor furniture doesn't float in mid air! Yeah I am back after an extended break and it looks like someone has been moving the goal posts in my absence! I am so annoyed now that I am gonna hafta go get another cup of nice English Breakfast tea to go with my bacon sandwich ....
