Whats happened to your preset families? Inspired by SBW's whos' who in veronaville thread, I thought I might start one too, to find out what fates everyone has given to the sims Maxis put in for us at the start of the game For me, I don't usually play the preset families, or at least if I do I don't usually play them for long. But I played the Broke family for a while and there's a few generations going strong in pleasantview (I don't even realise some of my sims are related to the brokes!) Well I tried to achieve Brandi's lifeime want of marrying off 6 children, but I never really managed it (not while she was alive anyway) Anyway, Brandi married Pao Mellon, and her children are as follows: - Dustin: Had a liason with a caliente sister (haven't really played him much) - Beau: Romance sim, lives with Baby Pink, another romance sim, they have a baby boy together, and Beau is also the father of Lucky LePeregrine's 4 children (two of which were taken away by the social worker) - Britannie: Family sim with the same LTW as Brandi. She has 6 children who haven't aged past teen yet. She also married a townie called Toby. His story gets a bit complex. - Allyn (adopted) another family sim, she married malcolm landgraab and adopted a daughter (also called Allyn- almost all my adopted kids turn up with the name Allyn!!). She also had 3 other daughters but they were taken away by the social worker. Now it gets confusing. Allyn jr adopted back one of the kids (Belle) and also stole Toby (Britannie's husband) off Britannie, and they had a baby together as well as adopting another child. Belle is a money sim and inherited the Landgraab fortune - Junior: (knowledge sim) he married Katrine DuFlip (another knowledge sim). They earned looaads of money from achieving their LTW's, which were both to get to the top of a certain career track. They had a daughter called Delilah, another knowledge sim, who married her college professor and lived in Bluewater village with their son Dmitri (until I uninstalled OFB.. I haven't checked on them since). Junior and Katrine also adopted another daughter (also called Allyn) who is a money sim. She's still a teen. The other child Brandi Broke had was Bubba (he was the baby she was pregnant with before Pao came on the scene). He's an adult, but I've done absolutely nothing with him so what have you done with your preset characters? (I hope I didn't bore you too much with my synopsis of the Brokes). It's interesting hearing what eveyone else has done because it shows just how many different directions TS2 can go in Rozza xxxx
I mainly play Pleasantview, with my own families so not much. Cassandra married Don. They had one kid so far. Sara. (That was awhile back) Mortimer is still an old fart waiting to die. Alex is still a lad. Dina married my friend's Sim-Self, Keaton Ray. They had 2 kids, Taylor and Jimmy. Both teens. Nina married my Sim-Self, had 2 kids also, Claire and Anna. Quite ugly children. I thinks it's Nina's eyes that messed them up. And her nose. I havent played the Brokes. I havent played the Pleasants. Or the Dreamers.
I'm playing on my own neighborhood right now, Tyrant Canyon, with the Bluewater Creek shopping district. I made a guy, just as an experiment for the new 'hood, with a Knowledge aspiration. Anyways he ended up getting abducted accidently, and next thing I knew he was expecting! (Let's just say I totally freaked out, having never played Strangetown ). He had an alien daughter, who when she was an adult, married Malcom Landgraab IV. The thing that is weird though, is their first son (he is a child now, and possibly the best looking child I have ever had born on my game ) Looks exactly like him (eyebrows and everyting!) except for the eyes and hair, he has black hair and brown eyes. This can't be from his mom, because she has the alien's black eyes and brown hair. I think maybe one of Malcom's parents had brown eyes, and because they are more dominent a gene than grey they came to the grandchild? Well anyways they adopted a son right after Jayse was born, (Sam), and then just had a baby girl, who has fathers skin and eyes, and that black hair again! So anyway, that is what I did to Malcom !! He is accually a good father, all his wants are around his kids. He will do things like feed the toddlers when they don't ask and play teddy bear with them .
I had one of my sims marry Malcolm Landgraab and I'm surprised at what a great husband he makes! His wants are often to flirt and kiss, etc. with his wife...which I almost never get even with my sim dad with a family aspiration!
i dont know which caliente sister it is but the one with the blonde hair went off and married mortimer for his money and got pregnant with either his or don goths child.don goth married cassandre and got her pregnant(the child is still unborn).mortimer died and blondie carried on the affair with don and asked him to move in and don goes back and to living with cassandra and blondie.the other caliente sister is up the duff but im not sure who by.
Just out of interest ... I am experimenting with a set of empty neighborhoods (ones that have been expertly lobotomised to remove all the Maxis made townies ... I am going to suffer for this ... probably ... but I must be due for a complete reinstall soon ) Anwyay as a result I am having to make all my own townies with CAS and although it is fun, I would appreciate some suggestions for names. I want real sounding names please, because I may (probably will) be using them as breeding fodder assuming the whol shebang doesn't explodify visible from space (or from Vega's front porch which ever is the most distant)
Do you mean, give weird names like in the game? how about combining some of our names? (eg-Vega Moon)
I always make my own families, and right now I'm just playing a town I made myself which has the bare necessities. I find it's easier to load. The only things I do with the townies/NPC's is have my Sims marry them if I haven't already made a sim for them to marry later on.
Mortimer Goth married Pamela Viscotti who is the mother of Liz Viscotti who is in one of my stories in the library. Cassandra Goth married Don but was devastated to see that he was having an affair (big surprise) so she ditched him and over time moved on to the Dreamer's dad (what was his name? ). Don Lothario got himself into quite a lot of trouble because of one particular Downtown visit. *ahem* Widbode ring a bell? (library) In the Pleasants mum caught dad having an affair with the maid. They are still married for the sake of their quarrelling children but they don't seem to like each other much anymore.
