Where's your Pleasants and Goths? So, almost a year after S2 has been released, what did end up with your Pleasant and Goth family?
I didn't really do much with both families. I had Daniel break up with Mary Sue and made him move in with Nina Calinte (the red head incase I got the name wrong) and got Mortimer Goth to marry um, the other Blonde Calinte (see I can't even remember their names!). I also got Cassandra Goth pregnant with Nathaniel Goth (dad: Don Lothario) and broke the engagement of Cassandra and Don. That's pretty much it because I usually play my other families.
Caliente sisters: Nina=Red head Dina=Blonde one I don't bother with them aswell. I love playing as Don! I accidentally made Don joined...
I started out playing my own families, but tragedy struck (crashed my computer). I reformatted/reinstalled/reloaded and have since been played the packaged families. Anyhow . . . Don and Cassandra broke up, but not before she became pregnant with his child(ren). She then married Darren Dreamer and the TWINS were born (little boy-Dominic, little girl-Danya). Shes still employed in the ?? career path (whatever it was already). I believe Dirk Dreamer and Lilith Pleasant like each other. I havent explored that yet. Dina married Mortimer and is currently carrying his child. Alexander is now an A+ student. Hes a teen looking into college. Nina is living in the same house she started out in. Dina is now at the Goth mansion, as stated previously. Nina does have a beautiful little baby boy named Eric to none other than our hopeless romantic Don Lothario. Don has reached the top of his career path and is still around 20 days until becoming an elder, thanks to the Elixir of Life. Hes got his hands on quite a sum of $$. He answered a chance card in his favor and earned a $75,000 bonus. So, Im thinking of hooking him up with a few more females and get that money order hack from Pescado so he can pay child support. I havent played the Brokes or the actual Pleasants that much (or at all, really).
To be honest... I really don't know! I think I've gone into their house all of two times, and that was to see if I wanted to move them out and a few of my sims in lol, I'm not big on playing Maxis families.
OK. Mortimer Goth has died and is haunting the house along with his ancestors. Cassandra married Darren Dreamer who moved in with Dirk and Cassandra and Darren had 2 children who are both still children/toddlers. Dirk has grown to adult and moved out and Alexander has also moved out to another place. He is showing definite homosexual tendencies but I think I'd like to experiment with him to get to the top of his career path and forget relationships. Darren is an artist and makes a living by selling his paintings and Cassandra looks after the children. They don't need to make anymore money anyway. Daniel and Mary-Sue Pleasant have both died of old age. Angela stayed in the house and is married to Dustin Broke and they have twins (boy and girl)and another son. Both Dustin and Angela are doing so well in their careers as Mary-Sue looked after the children for them that with their inheritance they have moved into one of the big houses in Pleasantville. Lilith Pleasant moved out to live with Ben Icmeler (one of my own sims) and had a baby boy, Errol. Ben has now left Lilith literally holding the baby and moved in with a younger woman. ( I intend for him to do the same to her once they have a family). I must admit I find my own families much more fun to play though. As for Don Lothario he is still bedding every woman that moves or breathes.
Nothing hardly. Can't even remember what I did it was that long ago now. I think I got Don into guys as well as girls as well though . . .
I didn't really do much. Mortimer and Dina got married, and they're both in Dina's tiny house (I guess I messed up. Should've moved Dina into Mortimer's house.) Nina is still single, though her relationship with Don is going strong. Don, I think, is still engaged with Cassandra, Alex hasn't grown up yet... I've really been playing mostly with the Broke's. Brandi keep getting married one after the other, as they've all died so far, and Dustin has moved out with Angela, who turned into an adult the day they moved into their tiny 2 room shack. Mary-Sue got fired at work, and came home to find Daniel in bed with Kaylynn, so they're angry at each other, but not divorced. And Lilith's relationship with Dirk hasn't been explored by me.
my sims life isnt soo good i killed mord.and dina is pregnat with dons baby but she got killed in a fire all the plesant peolpe kind of die 2 and don sleeps with more woman and i wanna restart by deletin the saved files but i dont no how SOME ONE PLZZ TELL, ME MY SIMS LIFE ARE ARE MISRABLE!!! :knockedout: :(
Ducky, you asked this question in another thread, so I'll refer you there. I will add, however that you should never save if you don't want someone to stay dead, or any time you don't like something that happened. Exit without saving or you're stuck. Oh, and as for me I played the in-game neighborhoods a total of half an hour before I got bored. I only play my own neighborhoods. I have much more invested in those characters.
Really? I know he's a slob because some friends of mine played him. I didn't know sims could DO that. My favorite slobby reaction so far is "lick plate clean." I've had a couple of of sims do that ... blech. Funny, but blech. I also noticed that some of the frat boys always left a puddle on the bathroom floor, which of course irritated the neatnik, except that he LIKES cleaning up so it was actually fun for him to do so. He was also good at fixing things and eventually he started getting "fix computer" or "fix toilet" as wants ... very interesting! Now, if I could just get him to clean my ACTUAL house, that would be something.
I loved Pleasantville. I enjoy Strangetown. I've never played Veronaville, though. The Goths are a nice touch for TS2 because it gave TS1 players someone familiar in the new game. I despised Bella in TS1. She had to be the hardest character to play. The first time I played Pleasantville, I allowed the characters to follow the paths and relationships Maxis intended...except for Cassandra. I just couldn't let that poor girl marry Don. She married Darren. When I re-installed for University I decided to play it very differently. Unfortunately, I sent all the teens to college at one time and they are all still there. This whole neighborhood is on hold until I get Lilith, Angela, Dustin, etc, back to Pleasantville. I just can't make myself play the campus long enough to get them all graduated. You know what bugs me about Mortimer in TS2? He looks ordinary. In TS1 he had an Old World charm. He had a type of European, aristocratic, suave persona. Mortimer is now nothing more than the neighborhood slapper. I think they should have made him more Gomez Adams like...given him some unique quirks.
In my TS1 Mortimer always followed anyone and everyone into the bathroom. It seemed a strange perversion. I haven't played the family in TS2. Since, Uni, though, passersby all like to do the buzzer in the handshake which leads to bad feelings. That, or the water balloon. I assumed Mortimer would be the sort to play pranks.
LOL! I don't remember Mortimer doing that! I just remember that he had an easy time making friends. I remember gritting my teeth trying to get Bella to friendship status with anyone. Bella, Cassandra, and Alexander all look like they belong to the original Goth family. Mortimer doesn't resemble his TS1 character. It's a minor thing that bugs me.
I addressed this earlier; however, I got NL yesterday so did a little more playing around. I decided to test the waters with Don Lothario. Hed already reached platinum status; so, out venturing he did go. Sent him bowling, dining, dancing, etc. I had him ask one of his hotties on a date at the house. He bought himself a car and he and his date made some serious use of that. I thought it was hysterical. His hottie left him roses. He then went out on a group outing that was just okay. I think Ill try another location if I want to do that again.
meh. ive never really touched the default families all that much other than the caliente's. i just used them in the new neighborhood as a way to get a certain needed job applied in the neighborhood.
I've been having fun marrying random neighborhood sims to my sims. Just a word of warning: Sheldon the mailman produces really ugly kids, even with a cutie like Brandi LeTourneau. Their son, Connor, looks like an ape and acts like a bully. He cheats at chess and loves giving noogies. Hey, maybe I could take the ugly gene challenge ... that might be fun! Only problem is, what poor girl wants to kiss Connor? His personality matches his face.
