    Which do you prefer?

I just thought I ask opinions from all of ya, since "the sims2 university" isn't what we expected :p

I was just wondering, among all the sims1 expansions, eg. Hot date, unleashed, vacation etc. which do you prefer to make a come back in sims2?

In my opinion, I would prefer unleashed to come back. I'm preety excited to see what the pets will look like, meaning how realistic it is compared to the sims1 :p and how the life cycle of the pets would be like etc :D

Besides that, I like having a "sims2 vacation" also because back in sims1, I usually bring my family on vacation :D preety much realistic like my real life :p

    Unleashed

I would have to say Unleashed also. Although I've never played the Hot Date. Vacation was fun too, but I liked having pets. I think that they should have these pets: dogs, cats, birds, fish, hamster, guinea pig, rabbit, ferret, chinchilla. The lifecycle would be interesting, and I think that you should actually be able to see the puppieskittens instead of having them hidden in a bed.It would be interesting to buy them treats, toys, housing. And shows would be cool

Vacation would be fun too. Take everyone to the beach or camping. And you could meet new friends there! I have the Superstar...that has some cool stuff, but I don't really think it would do well with Sims 2. In sims1 w/ superstar, if you went to town to sing you lost all your energy and other things FAST, making it impossible to do with sims 2 and having to take care of toddlers, teens, homework, etc. So Vacation or Unleashed, but leaning more towards unleashed:D

And let's not forget breeding them, so your little doggies can have a family tree also.

Unleahed was my first and favorite expansion, I love animals and I just loved for my sims to have their own pets. I hope maxis comes out with an expansion for The Sims 2 Where your Sims can have pets. I'd buy it right away (I get TS2 on Friday!!!)

It's interesting to note that the code already makes references to "Cat" and "Dog" as sim-types, so they're probably hiding the rest of it so they can peddle it to you in an upcoming expansion.

The Sims Hot Date would be the best, instead of the option in the original sims of asking them to come home with you, you could possibly have a public woohoo on the first date.. depending on how lucky the sims is ;)

I'd love to see vacation again or a new one called "country house". At least some vacation place where you can either cook a really good meal or be served one in a restaurant NOT at a food cart.

There are food carts? You wish there were food carts.

In reference to Sims1 the vacation expansion let you have food carts in the designated vacation areas. No food carts in Sims2, just boring grills. An have noticed that you have to serve everyone on a lot. That's not fun when there are a lot of people on the lot and you are really hungry. :( But I am glad that they upped the food values of the grills at least. :)

I agree with Toast (on a different thread) that Hot Date-esque stuff should have been included with the original TS2. It was probably the most worthwhile expansion pack. I thought On Holiday was badly done as well as being more than a little superfluous; I found Unleashed kind of dull; Livin' It Up only really added new objects, which was okay but ideally you should have been able to just download those; Superstar was really scraping the barrel. Sorry to sound so grumpy. I just didn't think much of the TS1 EPs.

 See, the idea projected by Maxis is that EPs are the result of fantastic new innovations that were not possible at the time of the release of the first game. It is quite incredible and guite irritating how blatant they were about this. You would've hoped they credited us enough to veil their naked moneymaking ambitions vis-a-vis EPs a little less thinly.

See, I'm a spoiled rotten brat that wants all of them back!!! Can we do that? LOL Or at least certain aspects of them.

    1. I want back the Jeanie, the rugs, and the career choices from Living Large
    2. I want every part of hot date back! It was the 1st one I bought
    3. I want the fishing peir and carnival stuff from Vacation
    4. The animals were cute from Unleashed, but I miss the Old-New Orleans style building items, and I miss farming! I had sims who's only jobs were to farm and can jelly!!
    5. I had a blast with Superstar!!! It got boring after awhile, doing the same things over and over again, I mean, how often can you sing the same similish kereoke song before you're sining it in your head. There was one line in the rock song, I swear, that sounded like, "This song's got a stinky fart!" Now, try to be a serious grown up in the real world with that stupidity running around in your head!! But, I loved having to figure out the order they wanted things played/sung, and earning stars, and even loved "Melvin The Psycho Stalker" (My name for him). But, beyond that, the biggest improvement ever to the Sims was Jeeves the Butler!! Think of all the posibilities for "Superstar" in TS2!! You could actually marry Melvin or make Jeeves cry for stealing drinks out of the bar!
    6. Makin' Magic was great if you're into fantasy and Harry Potter, and I just happen to be one of those freaky people. Yes, I had a Hogworts, and I had many witches and wizards running around. It was fun, again, trying to get the right ingredients and making spells. And think, now we can marry or move in the vampira and the fairy!!! :)

Okay, so can I have all that, plus whatever else they want to give us with new EP's? Please? That's all I want for Christmas. :)

I am very glad to see that you will settle for so little, Kristal dear. ;)

Each EP had something, like an object or character something, which was good and useful and cool, but that wasn't worth a whole EP, or shelling out thirty quid for that matter.

Personally, I liked Makin Magics content the best. My sims where fantastic at the mushroom racesJ

    Items I miss the most,
    The light trees
    The gnome maker
    The preserves
    The ducks
Being able to give a rose or other gift
    Booth seats
    Crystal Ball
The hacked soda machine with the missing animations

Makin' magic wasn't really my type. I did get the expansion but didn't bother much about getting my family involved with magic. The only thing I found preety fun about it was having a pet dragon lolx! :D However, my pet dragon set my house on fire and killed the whole family.

That's why... NO makin' magic for me :p

I didn't raise any dragons either. Had a hard enough time trying to keep my Sims happy.

Never played TS1 so I can't compare but from the sound of it I would love to see Makin' Magic! LOTR in Sim-style, woohoo :)
