Who the Heck Is David? Do I Need David?

I have a new townie in my game after loading the patch and I'm very confused as to what possible function he serves in my game.

I've noticed this blonde guy in brown coveralls wandering around in my backyards. When I put my cursor over him, it says he is named David. David always seems to think he is visiting my families for some reason, and yet he never ineracts with anyone. Conversely, I can never get them to interact with him either. The game tells me so when I try. The most that David does (aside from stand around looking creepy) is give me a pop-up box that informs me he is leaving.

    What gives?

If you installed the patch while any serviceworkers were over, they will revert to being visitors and be standing in the middle of your house. The brown coveralls would indicate he's the driver, the guy who drives the carpool. You never actually speak to the driver, so you usually never meet him. Was a car coming over when you saved the game?

Cool! A driver! You should keep him just to say you have one!! Keep feeding him and he'll hang around like a stray! :p You can show him to all your friends! "I have snagged a driver NPC. How about you? " "Oh, I have a cop and a fireman. Maybe we can trade?" Oh, no, now it's sounding like a game of Pokemon!

Sorry, I'm a little slap-happy not myself today.

Ahhh, that explains it. I always save between houses right at about 8am when most of the carpools have arrived. I may have several David's stuck in my hood then.

    Thanks.
