Who's Who in Porta de Luca

By popular request (do three or four requests count as "popular"?), here is my bio thread for Porta de Luca.

I've decided to do it by Generation and then by family of origin or other logical groups.

And hey, there are pictures!

Hope this helps sort out the tangled web I've woven.

And, as always, thanks for reading.

And oh, a warning: If you don't like spoilers, don't read this before you read the story. This is just meant as a refresher.

I've decided to update each bio as there are changes in my sims' lives rather than having more than one bio for the same sim, which could be confusing.

 

Generation One

Andrews Family

Lola Phoenix Andrews was the sim who started it all. She was flighty, restless, cantankerous and occasionally downright batty, but she always looked good, darling, and that was what counts. Lola made it to the top of the Show Business career after getting fired four times from the Artist track. She was married to Tyson immediately after graduating from Sim State and was always faithful to him in body if not in spirit. And oh, yeah, she was a vampire hunter until her death. She hated vampires even more after her own daughter became one. Lola died of old age. She was 82. Just before her death she fell in love with Jack and left him a small chunk of money.

Tyson Andrews was the long suffering and occasionally philandering husband of Lola. All he wanted was a quiet life as a doctor, instead he married a hurricane of a woman who was never quite satisfied. Still, Tyson managed to keep an even keel in life, even though some people accused him of being simply nonconfrontational. He had an affair with Willow Cormier but came clean with Lola after a tabloid printed the story. He died before his wife, at the age of 76.

 

Generation Two

The Daughters and Sons-in-Law of Lola and Tyson Andrews

Zaire Andrews Nova is an elder at this posting. She and her husband Castor have five children. They are a sweet couple who have never cheated on each other, or even dreamed of doing so, although they've had their share of disagreements. Zaire is a brilliant scientist and a good mother, despite the fact that she locked herself in the bathroom when she found out she was pregnant for the fifth time. She wanted to be a vampire at one point but is glad she has the life she does. Castor is a former frat boy turned Mad Scientist who is still completely in love with the woman he married. They live in a house with a beautiful view of the ocean.

Zaire and Castor have moved to Bluewater Village, where they share a lovely small pink manor with their granddaughter Olivia and her husband, David Sullivan. Castor is a retired mad scientist who builds robots and Zaire is still working as a scientist. They hope for a great-grandchild to share their home soon.

Zaire and Castor are now ghosts, haunting the property of the new home they bought with David and Olivia. Zaire was 80 when she died a day after Castor, who was 78. Castor's a peaceful ghost; Zaire, not so much.

London Andrews du Maurier is Zaire's adopted younger sister, and let's just say that getting married was never something she wanted. Still, fate has a way of deciding things for us, and tough girl London found herself head over heels for bad boy romantic, Spike du Maurier. He made her a vampire, she made him a father, they decided to make it legal. They're still young-looking, pretty and in love, and have even given up cheating on each other.

 

Generation Three

The Sons and Daughters of Zaire and Castor Nova

Xander Nova is the family rock. As the adoptive father of three very different and difficult boys he's had his hands full, but he's never too busy to support his siblings through whatever crisis befalls them. Xander came out in highschool and fell in love with Orlando Centowski in college. They've been together ever since. Xander was a stay at home dad for a while but has since become a professional athlete.

Xander and Orlando have moved in with their oldest son, Dante, and his wife Stella, to help raise their brood of four children, for which Stella will be eternally grateful. They are considering retiring soon and starting a home business.

Ariel Nova Delacroix, like her mother, is a brilliant scientist, but her interests lie in the paranormal and natural sciences. She is wise about everyone's problems except her own. She fell in and out of love and back again with the vampire who is now her husband, even though he made her a vampire herself against her will. Ariel has since changed back. She has a daughter and is struggling with the fact that her husband, recently abducted by aliens, has presented her with another.

Ariel is now a mad scientist, and was briefly a vampire again, but she, and Raj, are now human once more. They are the parents of a son, Jax.

Alec Nova is a hotheaded romantic. He had his heart broken in college when his girlfriend Skye was bitten by Raj and became a different person. A vampire named Jordan helped him to heal, and now she is human again, and his wife. But the restlessness never quite left Alec, even though he doesn't do anything about it. He stays home with his two daughters and plans to open his own restaurant some day.

Alec's daughters have grown, and now he and Jordan live with their eldest daughter Piper, her wife Vyn Hourvitz and their three children in a lovely home in the country. Alec owns a bakery, which is situated in the front yard.

Xena Nova Kane hates the fact that her name sounds like a pharmeceutical, but she married Porter Kane anyway. She was a flirt in highschool, a player in college, and never planned to settle down at all. She and Porter had a rocky beginning to their romance, to say the least. Xena has followed in her grandmother's footsteps and is now a Simmywood Director. She is the mother of Selena and the stepmother of Mallory and finds to her surprise that she likes motherhood, and loves being married to the love of her life.

Xena and Porter, having rasied their children, decided to become vampires rather than getting old and are currently having the time of their lives.

Xanthe Nova Longman is the youngest Nova by quite a bit. She was a bit flighty in college, unable to decide on a boyfriend, and why should she? She's young. But then she met Walter Longman, and fell hard for him, and now they're engaged. Xanthe lives next door to Xena and Porter now that she's graduated from college. She's a paranormalist who may or may not be psychic. She's waiting for Walter to graduate so they can be married, but he can take his time, she's in no rush.

Xanthe and Walter are married now and the owners of Flowers N Such in Bluewater Village. They have one daughter, Samantha, and twin sons named Malcolm and Marco. Samantha, or Sam, and her ex-husband Henry have two children, Ellis and Alexandra du Maurier. Ellis is in college, Alexandra lives with her father and paternal grandparents, Max and Avery.

 

The Sim-nificant others of the Nova Clan

Orlando Centowski Nova is married to Xander. He's a Swat Team Leader, a loving husband, and the "enforcer" with their two youngest boys. He makes friends easily and is still happy he married his college sweetheart. Orlando has now passed away and is haunting the home of his son Dante and his wife Stella.

Raj Delacroix is a very old vampire who woke from a deep sleep with the intent of causing trouble. Instead he fell in love and realized that his human side wasn't as buried as he'd thought. It took having his heart broken to make him realize he had one, and Raj turned over a new leaf when Ariel asked him to marry her. He's very interested in science and has befriended his father-in-law, Castor. His recent alien baby is a source of fascination for him, though he also loves her very much. He's a good father to both of his daughters and happy and grateful to have Ariel in his life at last.

Raj turned human again to be with Ariel, who was unhappy as a vampire. He's excited to finally be able to work at a real job.

Jordan Kane Nova is a sweet person despite having been a vampire, or maybe because of it. She realizes what's important in life and doesn't fuss too much about what isn't. She's an amazingly forgiving person, a loving mother, and very much in love with her husband Alec. Jordan's a Swat Team Leader, not a job she thought she'd ever have, but being on the police force makes her happy because she knows she's helping others to be safe.

Jordan is a superhero, and an elder, and everyone's favorite grandmother.

Porter Kane is Jordan Nova's brother, her opposite in many ways. He was a vampire for a very long time and found the courage to turn back only recently. He locked himself away from the world, denying his darker vampire side and own passionate nature until he was enticed into biting a woman he was seeing at the time, Solange Bonet. It took Porter a long time to work his way back from his darker self, but now he is happily married to Xena and the father of two children. He is an exorcist who loves his job.

And now that his children are grown he and Xena decided to become vampires together.

Walter Longman is a history major who plans to become a leader. He's strong, decisive and even-tempered, in short his fiancee's complete opposite. He can't wait to finish college and start his life with her. Walter has a twin brother, George.

Walter is a business owner. He recently bought Flowers n' Things and hopes to build it into an empire.

 

Spike and London's son and daughters-in-law

As the brilliant overachieving son of a pair of vampires, Apollo du Maurier has had an interesting life, perhaps so much so that all he wanted was to be "normal" when he grew up. He plans to be a doctor someday but right now is enjoying his status at the top of the athletic career. In college he was briefly engaged to Allegra Gorey, who left him for Jane Stacks. Apollo realized that he and Allegra were too much alike, and ended up marrying a woman who is nothing like him, a decision he has come to regret.

Skye Harker du Maurier has always been shy and a little rebellious. She fell in love with Alec Nova in college, but just as he was about to propose she was bitten by Raj Delacroix, who then asked her to marry him. Flattered, she accepted, breaking Alec's heart. As a vampire Skye felt free to act on her impulses. People thought she was crazy or just a bit daft. She bit Alec when he tried to rescue her, and after that he fell in love with someone new. Skye has since broken up with Raj, turned human again and for a long time enjoyed her marriage to Apollo, but lately has grown restless and dissastisfied. Everyone she knows seems to have a happy marriage but her. She resents Apollo for treating her like a child, and yet can never seem to quite grow up, either.

The couple have one son, Max.

Apollo and Skye are now divorced. Skye has decided she's had enough of the married life and is living in the tenement building in downtown Porta de Luca.

Apollo has found a new love, Sylvie.

Sylvie Wilde du Maurier fell in love with Apollo while she was still in college. She's a smart, no nonsense person who never thought she'd find Mr. Right, and while she's sad that that meant someone else had to get hurt she's very happy she's found him.

Sylvie and Apollo are the parents of twins, Raven and Holden.

Apollo has died, and Sylvie is now an elder.

 

I should probably mention that the Phoenix clan has a long tradition of being vampire hunters, with one member usually chosen for the job. When Lola died this job fell to Xena, but she has decided to share it with her siblings and cousin.

The vampire hunters don't so much slay vampires anymore as make sure they behave themselves.

Beverly Patterson is the member of the "vampire observation council" sent to keep an eye on things in Porta de Luca. She has a beauty salon as a cover and because she enjoys it.

 

Other Characters

There are many characters who are not part of the Phoenix clan and who don't fit neatly into any generation, so I'm listing them next. These are the characters who are adults at this point in the game.

Ashley Pitts is a former frat boy who dropped out of college to be the du Maurier's nanny. He had as much a hand in raising Apollo as the boy's parents did and the two still have a close relationship. Ashley should be an elder, as he was at college the same time as Spike and London, but thanks to generous helpings of "the green stuff" manages to hold on to his youth, and not just in body. Ashley's an overgrown teenager who never quite grew up. He found out he was a father quite suddenly when his daughter Waverly, who was five, wanted to meet him. He's now a ghost who haunts her house.

Heather Huffington lives with Ashley, the father of her child. She's a former sorority girl and vampire who now works as an artist. Heather's a fairly nice person, if a bit on the selfish side. She's flirtatious, stubborn and not the brightest bulb in the drawer.

She used to live with Tiffany and Brittney, who are still vampires.

Ashley and Heather now live with Waverly and her husband Aries and are helping to raise their granddaughter, Jaden. They are both elders now and awaiting the birth of their great-grandchild. Their great-grandchild Scarlett is now a single mom, and Heather has joined Ashley on the ghostly plain.

Tiffany Sampson is Mallory Sampson Delacroix's mother. She wanted a child and simply chose the best-looking guy she knew to be the father. That happened to be Porter Kane. He found out he was a father when Mallory was nine years old, and shortly afterwards Mallory went to live with him. Tiffany is selfish and vain but somehow managed to be a fairly good mother to Mallory.

Brittney Upsnott is a cold hearted vampire who is in a love-hate relationship with Tiffany. She and Heather hate each other, but then, almost no one likes Brittney.

Tiffany and Brittney bought an old tenement building downtown and are its live-in landlords. They have six tenants and have formed an odd family of their own. The tenant roster keeps changing, and Tiff and Brit are human again, but they plan to be crazy cat ladies together.

 

Jack Sawyer is a criminal who wants to be a "serious" writer. He used to be a journalist but his career hit the skids and he realized he'd hit rock bottom when the tabloid he worked for ordered him to do a story on Tyson Andrews' affair. He quit and became a pickpocket to stop working for "the man" but soon got sucked into syndicated crime. He has a hopeless crush on Xena and genuinely loved her grandmother Lola. Jack has terrible luck with women, as evidenced by the fact that he's currently involved with Lucy Callahan. Jack broke up with Lucy, had a brief affair with Audrey, and now just wants to be left alone. He lived in the tenement building owned by Tiffany and Brittney.

Jack has since met, fallen in love with and married Julia Sloane. They have one daughter, Rebecca. They live in a "compound" by the sea with Allegra, Jane, Rebecca and her husband Fisher Sullivan, their grandson Nicholas and the ghost of James. Jack is now a retired professional party guest and a toymaker.

Audrey Callahan Platz is a criminal as well with a love for money. She would like to have a relationship with a man, any man, but lacks the social skills. She raised her orphaned niece, Lucy, who has since moved away to college. After a brief stay at the tenement and an affair with Jack, Audrey traded up for marriage to "Mr. Big," Irfan Platz. The pair have a son, Victor. Audrey murdered Irfan when he revealed that he had a new, younger, prettier mistress.

Zaid Mustafa is a recent college graduate and a good friend of Xanthe Nova's. He has political ambitions. Zaid moved in with Carlo at Lola and Tyson's estate and the pair plan to run it as an amusement park.

Solange Bonet is a conniving, evil vampire who used to be in love with Porter Kane and has never forgiven him for leaving her. She sponges off of a not-too-bright human named Joseph Raymond. Solange is a vampire who loves to cause trouble, especially for the Nova clan. She set fire to Xena and Porter's former house while they were inside, and although the two of them escaped unharmed the house was destroyed.

Solange got in trouble when she tried to get revenge on Porter by turning Mallory into a vampire. Tiffany and Brittany tied her to a tree and she was badly burned before Antonio, her new lover, could get her home. Solange now wears a mask to hide her burns.

Porter Kane made Solange drink a potion to change back to human when she once again tried to meddle with his family. Antonio dumped her and she is working as a natural scientist and living in the tenement owned by Brittney and Tiffany. She no longer wears a mask, as turning human again healed her scars. She once again lives with Antonio, in a bunker-like mansion near the sea. The two have a love-hate relationship.

They also have a zombie servant named Tiffany Copur. Antonio's three nephews live with them as well.

Joseph moved out and married Brooke Tsvirkinov, Ariel's old friend. They have a thriving business and are the parents of a son named Tim. Tim is now married to Meadow Thayer and the couple have three children, Jenny, Danny, and Betsy.

Generation Four

The sons of Xander and Orlando Nova

Dante Nova is a nice, quiet guy who just wants to have a family and a good life. He never thought he'd find the right girl for him, but ended up meeting her the first day he went to college. Her name is Stella Terrano. Dante "went steady" with Waverly in high school but she dumped him. He gets along well with everyone, even his troubled brother Antonio. Dante dropped out of college and married Stella, and the couple have four children, Wyatt, Riley, and twins Skylar (the only girl) and Ezra. They have a home bakery.

Carlo Nova is still in highschool, but is already a player. He was dating Waverly and Lucy at the same time, until Lucy went off to college. Carlo will be going to college soon as well. He's an athletic, outspoken young man who occasionally gets in trouble. He's best friends with Max du Maurier. He and Antonio can't stand each other.

Carlo has graduated from college and has a career in the military. He plans to never marry. Carlo has since quit his career and now manages the Phoenix Estate fulltime as a sort of amusement park, with his partner Zaid Mustafa.

Antonio Nova is the bad seed of the family. His two fathers tried to steer him right but the boy has no conscience. He can't wait to get out into the real world where there are no stupid rules to hold him back.

Antonio attended college for three semesters but dropped out to care for his ailing love, Solange. He is a criminal and is the kingpin crimelord in town. He was living in the tenement but now lives in a mansion by the sea with his longtime lover Solange, his three nephews, Riley, Wyatt, and Ezra, Riley's robot wife Marilyn and daughter Alexa and a zombie named Tiffany.

 

The Delacroix sisters and their brother

Morgan Delacroix is the daughter of Ariel and Raj. She's about to go to off to college with her highschool sweetheart, Mallory. Although Morgan is interested in the pursuit of knowledge what she really wants is to be a hero. She's brave, outspoken and a good person. Morgan and Mallory had a bumpy relationship in college but are now married with three children, Hunter, Chase and "woops" baby Scout. Chase is Mallory's alien child. Morgan and Mallory now live in a modern house by the sea with Mallory's sister Selena, her husband Random, and five large dogs.

Milo Delacroix is the alien daughter of Raj Delacroix. Milo is best friends with Olivia Nova and Selena Kane. She met a magic frog who granted her wish to be beautiful, but later her face disappeared. The only way she could be cured was for her father to temporarily make her a vampire. While she was in college she used Selena's plastic surgery machine to once again become beautiful. Milo is extremely shy and wants to be a scientist someday. She is married to Cooper Byall Delacroix and lives in the tenement owned by Brittney and Tiffany.

Milo is the owner of the Bluewater Bath and Spa. She and Cooper recently adopted a daughter, Cordelia. The couple have moved to a home in Porta de Luca, along with Milo's "nephew" Chase and his wife Ella.

Jax Delacroix has a hard time taking anything seriously. He'd rather charm his way out of trouble than avoid getting into it in the first place. His wants are mercurial, and once he has something--or someone--he soon tires of it.

 

The Nova sisters, daughters of Alec and Jordan Nova

Piper Nova Hourvitz is married to Vyn, and they have three children: twins Ella and Jake, who are Max's children too, and adopted daughter Sarah.

Olivia Nova Sullivan is a child prodigy who already beats her father at chess. She wants to be a ballerina astronaut veterinarian queen of the world when she grows up, which had better be soon, she doesn't have all day. Olivia is now a teenager who helps out in the family business and is looking forward to going to college, where she won't have to work a register.

Olivia is in love with David Sullivan, whom she used to despise. They live with her grandparents, Zaire and Castor, and are now married with two children, sons Fisher and Levi. Olivia runs her grandfather's robot-selling business. David is a cop. The couple now have a daughter as well, named Lily.

David's parents Alice and Chuck Sullivan recently came to stay with them as well, something David's not thrilled about. Alice has since died, leaving Chuck bereft. Chuck died soon after. Their graves are now at Gothier Greens cemetery.

 

The children of Porter Kane

Mallory Sampson Delacroix is Porter's son with Tiffany Sampson. He's an extremely shy young man who strongly resembles his father. Mallory isn't really sure of what he wants to do with his life, just yet, though he is sure he's in love with Morgan Delacroix. Mallory was a vampire but has reluctantly turned back for his family's sake. Mallory married Morgan and took her name. They have three children, Hunter, Chase and Scout. Chase was born after Mallory got abducted by aliens. He and Morgan were pregnant at the same time so the two oldest kids are practically twins.

Selena Kane McKenna is well on her way to being the family's next diva. She's the daughter of reigning diva Xena Kane, and Porter. When Selena is a beauty who turns all the boys' heads. Despite her ambition to become a femme fatale Selena puts her friends and family first. Selena got pregnant just before she graduated from college and is now the mother of a son named Spencer Kane. She and her son's father, Random, are living together.

Random and Selena have since married and have a second son, Emmet McKenna. She and Random share a house with Mallory and his wife, Morgan.

 

Max du Maurier is the son of Apollo and Skye. He's a rowdy punkster of a kid who's more like his grandfather than his father. Max just wants to have fun and thinks school is one huge drag. Despite this he managed to get four scholarships and had a blast in college. Max is absolutely unafraid of emotions, likes to have a good time, is good to his friends. It would never occur to him to be dishonest or to pretend to be something he isn't. Max would like to run his own salon some day because he likes to help people feel good about themselves. Max is the adoptive father of Henry du Maurier.

Max and Avery are married and now have four children: Henry, an adopted son named Tristan who was abandoned on their doorstep, and twins Isadora and Zane. Max got interested in politics and is the current mayor of Porta de Luca. He's an elder now.

Waverly Huffington Thibadeaux is the daughter of Ashley Pitts and Heather Huffington. She's a girl who is trying to find her own way in life, since her parents are no help. She wants to be known as the best party hostess in town. Waverly is married to Aries Thibadeaux. They have a daughter named Jaden, who is married to Tristan du Maurier Thibadeux. Jaden and Tristan, who live with Waverly, Aries and Heather, have a daughter named Scarlett and a granddaughter named Tallulah.

Lucy Callahan McKenna is the niece of Audrey Callahan. She's at college now, and liking it so far. She's currently dating Jack Sawyer and George Longman at the same time. Lucy has ambitions of rising above her trailer trash background by any means necessary, but a girl has to have a little fun, too ... Lucy is now a vampire who may never graduate. She lives with other vampires in a "nest" on campus and they mostly party together. She has a troubled relationship with her father, Drake, with whom she was recently reunited. Lucy is out of college, no longer a vampire, and married to Emmet McKenna. They have a son named Seth.

 

The Adobe Mission College Co-eds

George Longman is Walter Longman's older twin. He's a hopeless romantic who's a poet when he's in love and more than a little moody when he falls out of it. George has graduated from college and is working as a party DJ. He was seeing Morgan but she dumped him because she hadn't gotten over Mallory, whom she has since started seeing again. George is pursuing a relationship with Nwad, who just may be the girl of his dreams ... or maybe it's Aphrodite Lebowitz. George never was good at deciding. George and Aphrodite are now married, with a son named Ari Longman.

Aries Thibadeux is a party boy with political ambitions. He'd like to find one special lady to settle down with ... eventually. In the meantime he just wants to have fun. Aries is a city council member after only four years in the political arena, and his career is taking off like a rocket. He's married to Waverly and they have one daughter.

Stella Terrano Nova is a smart, practical girl who happens to be an alien. She's in love with Dante Nova, and now married to him, with four children, which is enough for her. Stella's an elder now and has three grandchildren.
