I'm wondering if there are plans being made.

At this point, I do enjoy the Original... Makin' Magick really completed the whole set. The idea of meeting people who can develop furniture to doing skins sound interesting as well.

My one problem is downloading Skins for the Macintosh. Finding where to put the skins wasn't possible.

i remember reading a small discussion about this in the sims 2 area of the forums. and if they plan making a mac version, it will take a few months.

They'll probably release the Sims 2 and CaSiE to Mac users... In a year! Then when they finally do there will be about 5 things you can download online.

    That was sarcasm.

But really. I love Macs. I always have hated my Windows! The only reason I don't have (a new) Mac is that they never release any programs for Mac. But I'm sure they will eventually release it.

    suitemichelle Gramma's here!

WHat Mac does is control programs so that they all have exceptional quality, unlike window which allow unlimited license so occasionally you end up with a stinker program. Mac is still the choice of graphic designers and musicians because it is the best. but like you say, people opt windows because they can get the programs.

There are a few mac sites out there for downloading sims stuff. just not sure how to find them on purpose

The other thing that irritated my husband no end was that every time they upgraded the opt syst. you had to get a new computor and we couldnt afford that because then we had to upgrade all programs too... mac's mistake otherwise we would have mac in this house too

You can actually use windows files for The Sims 1 on Mac. I do it all the time. The file usually downloads in a .zip or a .iff file, sometimes in a .far file if you're downloading objects. .zip's usually contain .iff files but .far's don't work. All you have to do to install these files just find your The Sims file, which is usually in you Applications folder (Macintosh HD->Applications) or (Macintosh HD-> Users-> yourname-> Applications) most usually the former. Once you locate The Sims file open it and open the Game Data folder then then open the Objects folder and drag your .iff's to the Objects file. Or once you open The Sims folder open the Downloads folder and drag the .iff into the Downloads folder. Either way works. I reccomend placing it in the Objects folder but that's just me.
