    Wow! Already sold out!

I'm sure it's only CompUSA that's sold out but still... It's not even out yet and they're sold out! Ha!

Umm i dont think that it CAN be sold out yet. They haven't even made the CDs yet. The point of pre-ordering is so that they have enough copies to meet the initial demand.

That's what I thought too but maybe Maxis sent out a maximum to all the stores. Something like, "When the game is released we will ship you..." I've never seen a store sell out before the game is out.

I thought that the point of pre-ordering was to make sure that the store had enough copies. Besides, why would Maxis send a maximum amount of copies. Would'nt they want to make as much money as possible? Cause if they ran out all on pre-ordering, there wouldn't be any on shelves in the store. Nobody could get it if they didn't pre-order.

I know. It just seemed funny is all. It doesn't make any sense but that's what the site says.

The game is still in testing. It hasn't gone gold (meaning that the master disc hasn't been completed.)

It really doesn't take long for the CD and DVD manufacturing process. The games are usually out between 2 and 4 weeks after they have "gone gold". So, no worries about the discs not being manufactured yet. :winks:

Oh alright. 53 days more to go! Do you think the days are going faster now?

Maxis is polishing and tuning the game... so it's perfect.

I'll just get my copy at Wally-World, Target, Best Buy, or EB Games. All are close by and should have tons ordered, of course I'm going to buy it on the first day it comes out!!!

I don't think I will! Because I may not be able to get out there that soon but I have to check my schedule

I personally think that it would be near impossible to buy a copy of the game from stores on the day it comes out. People will like pile in the store to get their copy. I mean, the line to pick up pre-orders will probably be miles long! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You'll have to like wait outside the store for whenm it opens to get the game :p . I'm pre-ordering my copy today, so no worries there!

Back! And I've Pre-ordered my DVD version. By the way, I have to pick it up in store, it's not delivered to me. They probably deliver it to your house only if you order it online.

If you order instore, you pick it up instore.

If you order online, then you can either have it shipped or, if you want to save money on shipping and handling, get it for "instore pickup."

Where did you order it? I would much rather pre-order the DVD version then pick it up in the store then have [Amazon] ship it to me... :D

    Lucky!

I leave in a small city in VA that isn't very high on pc gamers. Everybody I know only play console games and use pcs for email/web searching. Personally I like pc games better because more people can add to the games with mods and skins. The bigger pc gamer community is nearby much larger city about an hour and a half away from where I live.....:)

Ignore my previous post, it made no sense and I can't edit it for some reason.
