    Cheat Code Trouble

I have a spreading problem in my neighborhood. I am unable to move, buy, or sell certain objects in certain homes like desks or chairs because the game tells me the object is still in use even though there is nothing on them and no one is using them. I have tried the cheat code to delete objects, but I must be typing in the wrong thing or something because I have never been able to make it work. Please, someone give me some directions so that I can remove the wayward kitchen chair from out of the middle of the floor of my newly remodeled living room, and get rid of the kids' desks when they are grown and gone.

This happens when a chair (or whatever) is the target of a sim's action (it's usually a visiting sim) and for one reason or another the action is cancelled or otherwise aborted. The afflicted item should be deletable if the moveobjects cheat is set to 'on', thus:-
    moveobjects on

If this doesn't work then let let us know ...
(the cheat 'menu' can be accessed by pressing C while holding down [SHIFT] and [CTRL])

Ah, I suspected there was something I was missing. I'll try this and let you know how it goes. I could access the cheat window but I had my code wrong.

It should be noted that the move objects cheat code for the original Sims (which was "Move_Objects on/off") will also work in TS2. I don't use it anymore because I am too lazy to use the shift key, except of course where grammar requires it; in which case I am more picky than a school for dental hygienists. :p

Thanks for typing that code out to me. I try to never actually use the cheats and never needed them with Sims. I just really got tired of having furniture I couldn't move, so I finally broke down and used one. Turns out all I did was forget to type "on". After I did that, it has worked like a charm. ;)
