A woman is by aptiude destined to servitude extremely cruel and proud she's by no reason bowed by law nor governance cowed; of her dowry boastful of each good way neglectful of idle paths shes heedful ... etc (Anonymous)
My daughter would never have accepted such poetry. In her opinion women are just as good as men. I am afraid that because women have the same brain weight I can't see any reason for saying that they are less (or more) intelligent. They have their strengths and their weaknesses, and so do men.
we are just as good as you are...even better! dont go tellin round how women are less brainier than men...thats just sexist
What I quoted from was my yearly poetry book (of four or five years ago). I think, personally, that you have to decide how clever a person is by how clever a person is and not by any other quotient or whatever. I think that women have every reason to say that they are as intelligent as men because their brain weight is the same so why shouldn't they be. Women are better in some departments and not so good in others. There, I am afraid, it must rest. If you were to ask my youngest grandson (one year old) who was the brighter, he would no doubt (if he could talk that well) say that his mummy was the brainiest person in the world.
LOL Snake...you betcha you have bigger problems than laundry!! I personally like the quote from the play "Death of a Salesman" by Arthur Miller, where one character says, "Everyone likes a kidder, but nobody lends him money!"
*starts a war* Biologically women's brains are different to a mans, they are smaller in diameter HOWEVER (emphasised) They are more dense (the brains not you ) i.e more neurons per particular area of the brain, which most of the time leaves them slightly smarter. *ends war* If you want to talk about sexism though, why the heck is their "women only" car insurers i.e diamond in the UK *boggle's concept*
I had heard that, which I used the word 'weight' and not size. Why is it that there is only one monopoly commission?
Verse from none other .... the Quran (Muslim Bible Talk about prophetic! Quran ( 9:11 "For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace."
