Pre-order ‘The Sims 3 World Adventures’ expansion…for $40!? Reading a few threads over on the official Sims 3 forums.* One in particular of the fact that EA and Gamestop are taking pre-orders for the first Sims 3 expansion for $40.* Insane, as the base game itself is only $10 more.* Many fans believe the reason it’s priced so high is the fact that EA is “giving” us $10 worth of free Simpoints.* Free, my butt.* I don’t understand why Sims 1 and Sims 2 expansions were $30 ($20 for the stuff pack) and now they’re planning on charging $40.* Stay out of my wallet, EA!* It’s crazy, because normally PC games are generally $30 with the huge games hitting $50.* It’s an expansion, no way should it cost that much – plus tax – and you still need a base game. GameStop Preorder Page – $40 EA Store Preorder Page – $40 Eh…I shouldn’t worry.* If it is $40, I’ll just order from an online site and use a promo/coupon code to knock the price down to normal or just wait until Target sells it for $10 less (which they will probably do during the first or second week).
