Alright, I promised I wouldn't do this, but I did it. I did another midnight showing...ahahhaha.

Okay, I had a lot of fears here as I was worried the director's intrepretation would be off by quite a bit. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire had an excellent trailer, but somewhat acceptable results that came from the final production.

My fears were gone in the first scene. While the director did take a bit of his artistic freedom, (I grant him that), he took it the perfect way. It was done really well, and by the time the children where on the platform, leaving their mother, I was crying as well.

I felt it followed the book a ton, and well, it's on my must own list of DVDs. It was daring, yes indeed, But I was very very well pleased with it. Definitely a must see :)

If i feel like it, it's early might i say as well...I'll most more feelings about it.
o yes, buy the soundtrack too! It is REALLY REALLY good :D

alright, I saw it, and I'll admit, I cried as well during that scene...not many movies can make you cry at the beginning!

I LOVED it! I was a bit worried that they would cut the heart of the story (as Hollywood so often does), but they did not...It was really well done! Yes, there was a bit of artistic license taken, and at just over two hours, I'm sure things from the book were left out...Funny thing is, I can't recall anything that was obviously missing. They left in all of the key things I remember (including the part where Edmund draws the glasses on the stone lion!)

I also thought it really well cast! Loved James McAvoy as Mr. Tumnus, Liam Neeson as the voice of Aslan, and I just wanted to put Georgie Henley (who played Lucy) in my pocket and take her home!!!

I too got choked up at several points during the movie. This will definately be an addition to my DVD collection...But first, I will probably have to see it on the big screen a few more times!
