Something you might add is if people are installing just two sticks of ram on a motherboard with two sets of different colored slots (like the blue and black) to install it in the same colored slots. Either all blue or all black unless they're installing in all 4 slots. Also make sure they use the same brand, speed and size in the install too. Don't mix and match different kinds of ram.
Those are very good points. I know that I often leave things out...So thanks for the tips. Wish I had some spare computers to work on. I'm going by the steps I took a few months back building my dad's computer.
