I am a forum and bbs novice, i admit to that, it's strange for me to be posting rather than chatting. However, i appreciate ya posting this on here Josh. *hugs from hugz*
wow... this is like having a WHOLE COMMUNITY suddenly be HOMELESS! I know how that feels. I was part of a community where they suddenly took the site down... then in the yahoo fan club for it they announced they were working to get the site back up. Everyone was excited and Halloween night we all came to the site to sign back up and it wasn't till the END of the sign up it suddenly sent us to pay pal and said it was now a pay site. So I know the feelings of loss and betrayal. I really hope Josh's plans for WorldSims chat to be a refuge for everyone losing the sims chat cane COME TRUE and we can rescue each other from that pain. OK I'll stop crying and get off my soapbox now.
In simple words: Maxis is closing down the Sims Chat on the Official Sims site so ALL the people who chat there will have no place to chat after some of them spending over a YEAR chatting with friends there! Sims Chat will close and people are hurt by that. People who have been friends for a long time won't be able to find each other anymore. Josh made an announcement that we are trying to get a chat HERE so those people can come here and not lose each other! There, I hope that makes sense and is shorter.

Chatter, yes we are trying to get the chat right now. However because of funding limitations, we are having a hard time getting the chat. I'm trying to find a ways we can get the chat
Now I feel bad because I didn't get my check in the mail last night. It won't get there in time to help open chat Sunday. waaaaaaaaaahhhh...... sniff....

Oh hey! thats right Bryan, Josh IS a cross between the Lucky Charms leprechan and Papa Smurf. Whatever happened to the jolly, magical Irishness in you Josh? Are you betraying your heritage now too? for shames. This summer i worked my butt off (not literally, but it was a good taste of how hard earning your own keep is) and i earned close to a thousand dollars. Want me to send the necessary amount and be the object of affections and praise of all the chatters who have lost their homes due to the closing of chat?
