I'm rereading Wicked for the second time in about 4 years. I'd really love to see the musical, but unfortunately, I'd have to travel out of the country to see it. I ain't that rich . Any chance of it coming to Australia anytime soon????
I'm with Allie, read the book a few years ago and found out about the musical maybe a year ago? Hope it does come to Australia, even though nothing ever comes to this side of it... :(
Got to see the musical when it came to Minneapolis a month or so ago. It was rather different than the book had a different ending. However, I thought that the choices that they made in changing it, for the most part, worked much better for a stage musical. If they had tried to keep to the book, I don't think that it would have worked so well. Loved both the book, and the musical, and would highly recommend them! Although each work has a different focus, they are both full of humor and poignancy, and both make you look at things a little bit differently.
Some people from school went and saw it down in chigago last summer, I think. They must have liked it because they sang songs from it in the talent show in spring.
