Stuck with the regular one. Doing so allowed to me to instead get the game and the Prima Guide separately... which I preordered for about $13.00...
This pleases me immensely. Now the only question is whether I want to install it on the WinXP partition on my mac, on the Mac partition... or both.
I'm OK. It didn't surprise me. Not to mention, this means that the game is set to go gold on or about my birthday :p
Ehhh.... I think the thing I'd miss most from The Sims 2 is the ability for my sims to own their own business and be involved in its day-to-day...

No. An entry level iMac--which is capable of running TS3, once Windows is added--can be had for $1199+tax, and features a 250GB hard disc and 1GB...
