You would need to save the family house to disk or the iff file, and they can use the same steps to put them in their game. :)
If you have unleashed you can build before your sims move in, which is awesome. :) If not......you can go to your Sims folder: C:\Program...
I also have, in real life, 2 dogs and 1 cat.......and some fish! :)
I think you'll like it, takes a bit to learn, but it is almost *key word* almost as addicting as the sims. ;)
