    Behind the scenes--

There was a big, big fight on the set of Andromeda Rose today. I decided it fit in with the story, so I photographed it, but it wasn't planned. Andy turns out to be something of a tease and has encouraged the affections of both Cory O'Neill and Simon Medruzz. While we were off taking publicity shots of Simon, Andy and Cory were (I'm just guessing here, because I wasn't watching them) flirting intensely enough to attract Simon's attention (which is a mystery to me since he was two stories up in another building.) So later on, during filming, Simon showed up on the set and attacked Cory. The fight lasted so long that it worried me. Cory won.

Andy did not seem embarressed about the business. In fact, she seemed to enjoy having the men fight over her. I'm going to have to discuss it with her since I can't have either of these guys getting hurt, or quitting on me.

I'm working hard at the moment to calm Simon down and get him to work with those two again. He's quite furious (and broken hearted.)

One publicity photo of Simon Medruzz attached. He wants to send this one to his fans.

Lynet you are too funny for words... I never would have concidered making publicity of a fight between "actors".

I LOVE this thread - Almost as much as the one that inspired it! I'm so glad you started it, Lynet, so that we may be treated to your lighter side!:D

PS - LOVE the publicity shot of Simon Medruzz!

Scenes from the cutting room floor

When we showed up for filming we found a party in progress. (I think they were dancing the Monster Mash,)

In case you hadn't noticed yet, my neighborhood, The Other World, has some strange sims living there. ;)

A couple of more pictures. I think they're all kind of cute. I'm going to enjoy playing that little neighborhood later on. I think I'll get them some pets.

However, I don't think the neighborhood is an appropriate place for raising children. They'll have to be content with pets.

I think it would depend on the children. They have some cool goth kid clothes at Parsimonious and MTS2. Wednesday Addams would fit right in. :p

I got a real kick out of the whole "fight on the set" thing. For shame, Andy.

But you're right, there's the story and then there's the way the sims really behave.

Nora, in Veronaville, for example, has a huge crush on Richard. The girl has no taste. But I guess it's understandable, since he's a lot like his son ... Liza likes him too and dreams about him with little hearts.

    Some girls.

    And back in the Valley

So we already know about the cute little monster that is the son of Rumina and Medruzz Primus.

Our movie star, the Medruzz, has a cousin, Lauren Anakausen, who sometimes worked as a stunt double for the Medruzz. Lauren has recently had plastic surgery on his nose and is now married to a charming family sim named Beryl. Her dream is to graduate 3 kids from college.

We are pleased to announce (and very much surprised, because we used no cheats, not even cheesecake) the birth of twin girls to Lauren and Beryl. The Medruzz' son, Rudy, now has two little girl cousins.

I will post as many pictures as I can. My picture allowance is almost gone. (Even though I deleted all of the Dear Emmy pictures.)

Pictures here are Lauren, Beryl, and the babies, Gitta and Roza.

Lauren and his wife, Beryl, and two little girls reside with Rumina, Medruzz and their son, Rudy, at the actors' country compound.

There have been rumors that the Medruzz has joined a bank robbing gang that the police have been trying, without success, to capture. The Medruzz denies those rumors, insisting that he is only rehearsing for his next movie.

    That's quite a compound!

    I'm guessing the twins aren't identical. ;) They're cute!

LOL, and we'll find out about their noses later on. I had one family of sims that kept having twins every generation, but that was another neighborhood. This set surprised me. I was not prepared with names, or anything. I like the different skintones, though. I was hoping the child would not inherit the mottled skin of his/her Dad, but one of each is fun. :D And the eyes! Gracious.

As for the country compound. I used a large lot to create a village way back when I was writing I,Sim. Several of them made up the village of Royden. It's a lot I saved to my lot bin and reuse frequently, changing a few things to give it variety. I changed the roofing and added columns and different wall coverings when I grouped several of these lots in the Andromeda story to create the abandoned city. It's been a very handy lot.

Oh gosh I'm having that problem in my story family. Seems like every generation I keep having twins! The family's already big enough at gen 5 without three sets of twins and a set of triplets! (I am using Two-Jeffs mod for Triplets and Quads, but I don't think it's affecting my probability for multiple births).

Your babies are adorable! I love the fact that they look so different! I've seen that happen with my Sims as well. It's funny to have a green baby and a plain baby, then a red haired baby and a black haired baby (twice that happened...maybe I need to lay off having these people marry townies  ).

I've been playing the game all afternoon (after Chrismtas shopping). Overplayed, I guess, because the game locked up on me and I had to restart it. Rumina had to get her promotion all over again.

Meanwhile, the babies had a birthday and are now toddlers. They are going to need the plastic surgery machine for sure. They look frightful, no matter what I do with their hair, especially poor Roza (pale skin.) And on the night of their birthday, while the family ate cake, the wolf with the glowing eyes was at the door, and started digging a hole there, right in front of the door. Maybe he buried something. Or maybe it's an omen. ;)

The next day, when Dagmar picked up the mail, she was somewhat unnerved by the site of the guy with the red bat wings. He looked like he was going to ask her on a date but she walked away REALLY fast.

Oh, my, they are unfortunate looking, aren't they. Well, maybe they can make it work for them in their teens. It's possible those geometric cheekbones will look more striking as they age ... possible, I said, not likely. :p

They are so awful looking that I considered not posting their pictures at all. Then I thought I should stop allowing my monsters to have children. They aren't exactly contributing anything positive to the sim gene pool.

There is, however, the face-lift reward object, if it will work for them. With some sims, and I don't know why, the machine takes control away from me and gives the sim a face so distorted that I don't save the game. I don't think this is a glitch. I think it's a chance event planted by Maxis on purpose. :( I have only used that machine with four different sims, all of them because they were stunt doubles for my story stars and I did not want them to look like that any more. It did good three times. It refuses to work right on the fourth sim I tried, Errols's twin, even though I've tried several times with him. So I made the guy bald and gave him a beard. :D He's now happily married to the widow of one of the villains.

So I'm crossing my fingers for these poor tykes.

    person123 Frumpy McDoogle!

I laughed so hard when I saw what happened to one of my sims after I used the plastic surgery machine...she looked like the cliche witches in old fairy tales. Hilarious. I even kept it on her for a few days.

I think the 'geometric cheekbones' give them character. :D

Your sims have to be in the happy (gold or better) for the plastic surgery machine to work without a glitch. You MIGHT get OK results when they're in the green, but don't count on it ... I changed Ella Hourvitz Delacroix's nose in college, and the first time it was just as 123 described, so I exited without saving and sent her on a date. When she was in the platinum I tried again, and voila! No more tiny nose, and no humongous witchy troll nose, either. Just a nice, normal one. :p

My guy was in the gold mood but not platinum. I'll have to try platinum.

The son of Andy Rose, Lee O'Neill, and the son of the Medruzz, Rudy Primus, have moved to Sim State U. An interesting pair. I also attach a picture of little Roza, looking very slightly better as a child than she did as a baby.

I like Lee. What a great face! As for the monster children, brrr ... wouldn't want to meet them in the dark!

The Valley is still a strange place

So I was playing in the Gueber household, just raising the kids and keeping house, when I noticed the dog and someone else walking down the sidewalk...the white dog, his bony white follower and the dog's wide eyes...it just looked so funny.

Also, it seems that we have two suns here, as well as some problems with gravity. The mailbox is not attached to the ground. :D

Thought I'd toss in a picture of the whole valley as it is now. It's the same one that used to be covered in snow. The abandoned city is still there, on the right, home to some of the more peculiar characters in my story, like the one following the dog.
