Mavis is based on my MIL. Yes, very colorful, too outgoing, too, ummm, troublesome for their own good. My MIL would crash a party and swear that she was invited. LOL Tina, well, I kindof see her as a soap-opera villian. The sort that Morgan Fairchild or Joan Collins would play. Beautiful, manipulative, evil, but a great mother. Geeze!!! I had to go three pages back!! Someone slap me! LOL Sorry this hasn't been updated in a little while. Emails between Kyle and Peggy Sue: Dear Kyle: I have never known lonlieness the way that I have known it now that you are gone. I thought my heart would break when I saw that yellow taxi take you away on your graduation night. If it weren't for the "Battling Bickersons", AKA Mabel and Bambi, I'd be ready to quit school and join you. Bambi sleeps on the couch, and Mabel sleeps with me. They are fine when they are apart, but just let one of them get in the shower while the other one needs to use the bathroom, and watch the fun begin! LOL And Ani just won't stay away! I wish he and Mabel would find somewhere else to hang out. I swear, I'm afraid to sit in the hot tub, afraid I'll be impregnated with little green men. haha Bambi started seeing Eddie Dawson pretty regularly. I think she decided that if she can't have Ani, she'll settle for Eddie. Eddie is a loud mouth and is constantly pulling pranks. I'm sorry that I cannot write to you more regularly. My family and my work keep me very busy. Just know that I love you and my heart is with you. Mother and her husband Elijah sleep all day in caskets and then get up at sundown. There are two children in this house! Elijah's son (Anikian's baby brother) Noah, and my little sister Arwen. Mother had her name changed after she became a vampire, wanted a more, umm, magical name, I guess. Arwen has not had much interaction with Mother and Elijah. She plays all day with the nanny or anyone who comes to visit. When I come home in the afternoon she's always in a dirty diaper, about half sick from being over-fed, and in need of some socializing. I've been working on teaching her how to talk, so she can tell that stupid Nanny, "I don't need another bottle, you twit! Just change me and read me a story!" Noah's a cool kid. He's a teenager, and all he talks about is cars and girls and hip hop music and girls. He's very outgoing and brings kids over all the time from school. Elijah says he reminds him very much of his dead wife. Mother hisses at him when he says that. I get the feeling that mother doesn't like to mention the past. I never hear her talk about my father anymore, either. I don't like living here, my love. I want us to do better. I am saving every penny I can so that I can buy a home for us when we marry. Kaleb sat me down last night and showed me our father's will. Our father owned a very nice home in the hills, complete with a pool. There are some back taxes and some other expenses that Kaleb cannot afford to cover. (I love my brother, but he is such a slacker! No money coming into his home whatsoever, and he has a baby on the way!) When I get another promotion, hopefully the bonus will be enough so that I can afford to take over Father's home. Peggy Sue walked up the front steps of the huge mansion and shivered. She had heard Anikian refer this place as "The Castle" but had thought he was kidding. It looked nothing like a castle from a fairy tale. It was a huge two story home sitting on a high hill. It's exterior was dark stone and a tudor pattern around the roof that tried unsucsessfully to make it more cozy. Around it was a high stone wall and trees, shutting in all hope of natural light. Yes, this was indeed a modern-day version of a castle keep. Kyle met them at the door with a tiny red-headed girl in his arms. "Come in, come in!" he exclaimed, leaning to kiss Peggy Sue. "I'm so glad to see you two!" "Yeah, I'll bet," Ani chuckled. "Need a break from the grusome twosome?" "Hey, I heard that!" A deep laughing voice called from the stairs, as Elijah Warner advanced towards them. "Better mind your manners, son, or else I'll let my lovely bride get you two." Ani groaned and awquardly hugged his father. "How are you, Dad? How's Noah?" "We're great, just great. Noah's upstairs in his room playing his guitar. Where's your girlfriend?" Anikian cleared his throat. Mabel had wanted to come, but he hadn't wanted her to see the freak-show he had at home. "Oh, well, you know, term papers due and all that." Elijah lowered his eyebrows. "Uh huh." he said in a suspicious tone. "Ahh, everyone's here!" Kyle's mother Tina called from the kitchen. "I baked a cake for the occasion!" She took little Arwen from Kyle's arms and tickled her belly. "Well, actually, for this little girl and the occasion of her growing up. Time marches on, doesn't it? Well, let's all go wish her a happy birthday" As everyone else left the parlor, Kyle threw his arms around Peggy Sue and pulled her close to him. "I love you so much, darling. You are the only normal, good thing I have going for me in my life! I cannot wait to marry you." Peggy smiled and kissed him deeply. "Just a few more days now, my love. I'm almost done. Then I'll be here with you." Kyle frowned and started to speak, but the sound of party favors and singing drowned him out. He took Peggy Sue's hand and led her into the dining room to join the party. Little Arwen transistioned from a toddler to a child well. She had long red locks and her mother's big brown eyes. She began talking everyone's ears off at the table as they ate cake, talking about her teddy bear named "Snookie" and about talking to aliens. Anikian laughed and told her that there was no such thing as aliens, which made Elijah leave the table abruptly. As they were preparing to leave, Kyle pulled Peggy Sue against him for another deep kiss. "What do you think about this place?" "There are some good things," Peggy answered, watching Arwen play hot-hands with Ani. "But I wouldn't want to live here full time. I wouldn't see this as the place I raised our children." "I almost have enough money to move out. Mother doesn't know it, yet. But, I need your help." "My help?" "You cannot move in here. You cannot be live in this household. Strange things happen here, unspeakable things. . . " Kyle embraced her tightly. "Please, until I get the house deal finalized, when your leave the university, please go stay with your family." "Kyle! I can't do that! You don't know what happened between my mother and my father. You don't know what a house of horrors that is for me. Even this place, with all it's macarbe charm, is better than moving back into my parent's trailer!" Noah came rushing up to them in a frenzy. "Hey, did you see my friend Matt? He was here just a second ago. Please tell me he didn't go outside, Kyle." Kyle looked puzzled. "Matt? Who's Matt? I haven't seen anyone since before the party started." Tina came into the room, holding a glass. "Ah!! Sweet Elixir of Life. Sweet gift from the cow-plant. How I love my baby Bossie!" She drank the glass down, ignoring Noah and Kyle's shocked cries. "What's in that?" Peggy Sue asked. Tina held the glass out, smirking. "Would you like to try a sip?" "No, Mother, she most certainly would not!" He pushed Peggy Sue outside onto the deck. "Peggy Sue, do you love me?" "Of course I do, Kyle!" Peggy Sue became startled. "Stay away from this house! Move in with your parents. I promise, it will only be a few days. I almost have enough. . Please!! You cannot move into this side-show!" Peggy Sue's eyes welled up with tears. "Only a few days? For you, my love, I will. But, no more than that." He kissed her deeply, and then excused himself. Noah had an axe and was heading out towards the trees, crying and muttering about taking care of his step-mother's demonic pet.
I haven't been online much - but this is one really good thread. Very dramatic. I really like it. It's romantic and sweet - nice for me.
