All of my sim daughters look the same, why?

All of my sim daughters look the same, why?

Whenever my sims have a daughter, and this isnt just one family its all of my different families, by the time the daughter reaches child they always have the same haircut - the short haircut with the blue dress - they change hair color and eye color depending upon the parents but never the hairstyle, and they always look the same when they are toddlers too, they always have short hair. Is this all randomized, because in the create a baby there are all different looks for a toddler, but is there a way or a certain way parents should look to change the look of my baby girl sims?
