Shouldn't be a problem! Most of the stuff you can use from a standard website also works on the Mac. The only things you have to be careful about are the CEP (something in TS2 that allows you to recolor almost anything) and things like SimPE.

    Does that help?

But that's Sims 2 we're looking at right now. With The Sims 3, who knows what sort of can of worms we'll be dealing with.

Let us know what Mac you got! I'm interested in finding out what you're gonna get. I have bets you're going to get a Macbook or a Macbook Pro. John says you're gonna get an iMac :)

Hey! I have both a MacBook Pro AND an iMac at home. I'll support either decision :p

Ok here is a computer that I am looking at if someone could tell me how it fairs.

    HP Pavilion A6700F
    AMD Phenom X4 quad-core 9150e
    4gb memory
nVidia GeForce Go 6150 SE video

    Desktop or laptop Ruth?
Stay away from anything other than 8600, 8800, 9600, 9800 series Nvidia cards.
The 6150 is an extremely weak gpu based off of the 6600 series gpu which is kind of dated now too.
Also if all you're gonna do is sim with this then I would not waste the extra money getting a quad core cpu when a Core 2 Duo will do anything you want.
Just make sure the one you get is at least a 2.5 GHZ or larger (the larger the better)
