I love Plato! ...Well, I haven't actually read any of his poems or anything, I just like how his name sounds. Plato....play-do...:D How much I like a philosopher is based on how much I like his name. Plato is okay, I absolutely love Aristotle, Socrates is okay....

Er ... did Plato write any poems :p

Don't for gawd's sakes marry Colin. Even if you turn off free will he spends approx 50% of his waking hours primping. That kinda behaviour is definitely only cute the first couple of times. He is Zaitarro Wotsit in my game and he even breaks Pescados socialising macros both as an active and as a passive participant.

On the other hand the scruffy female pajama wearing downtownie (Gretchen, in my game) turned out to be kinda cute. Her scruffy PJs were her day clothes and she had normal PJ's to sleep in. I actually had to buy her an identical set of scruffy PJ's after she moved in with her best friend.

Great story Lynet, BTW. I'm lovin' it even tho I don't comment often :)

Love the picture of Quinn and Colin. I don't like "my" Colin (Irfan Platz) very much: he's Spike's favorite target. I can't even count how many times they've fought, and Spike has won every single fight except the first one. Helps to have Fight Club and 9 body points. :)

"My" Gretchen is called Brooke. She's Ariel's closest friend. I like her, too. She's dating Ashley Pitts right now and they're a cute couple. He likes 'em scruffy.

I continue to read this every time you post. It's very entertaining!

Love the robe and slippers on Felicia, though I'm a little confused because Griffin and Colin seem to have the same outfit and hair color. And nose. :p

    At least this one:

My child--Star--you gaze at the stars,
and I wish I were the firmament
that I might watch you with many eyes.

It's from an illustrated Anthology of Love Poetry called Art & Love published by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. A really nice little book and certainly handy to have around when writing a love story. I hope Plato doesn't mind that I changed it a teeny bit.

And thank you for the compliment on my story.:)

The quiet, peaceful night is disturbed only by a faint rustle on the lawn...the porch...the stairs...

His need overwhelms him. She must come away with him. Forever.

What amazing pictures. I'm on the edge of my seat, here.

WAKE UP, Colin! You need to stop this!

Quinn is not a romantic vampire. He's a creepy vampire that would arise from a damp and moldy grave. He'd scuttle and slither when he moved. That last picture I posted of him (in #278 where he faces Colin,) led me to believe that the presence of Colin or even a whole crowd of people in the house wasn't going to keep him away from what he wanted: Dalila.

How to present this came to me in the middle of the night. It had to be from his point of view, slithering into the house as only a creature like him could do. I swear it gave me chills just taking the pictures, especially when he crawled under the bed and rose up to look at Dalila. Then I had to color the pictures a little, the color of blood.

I wish I didn't have to go to work tomorrow so I could continue with this immediately. :( I'm on the edge of my seat, too.

'Twas me inside his head, so to speak. ;)

Sorry, folks, update not ready yet. There are two toddlers in the house demanding all kinds of attention. :( But I'm working on it.:weightlifter: Whew!

email to Sheila Mae Mace from Emmeline Livingston--

    Hi, Sis,

Glad to hear that Corbin is doing so well in school. Earning A's. That's wonderful news. And Marcel is well, too. So good to hear. Alon is well, and so are the twins, although they keep me very busy. I'm glad I could take some time off work to be with them. They grow up so fast. In fact, Dalila's daughter Lily has just left for college. She was so eager to go, to have new adventures and meet new people. Such a sweet girl.

Dalila, however, worries me. I took her with me to the Medical Center yesterday and had some tests done but the only thing we can find is that she's exhausted to the point of collapse. She's not getting any sleep. And I don't know why. She awoke screaming from a nightmare the other night and was so hysterical and incoherent that I was forced to give her a sedative. Last night I heard sounds in the house and found that she'd gone outside to the yard and was just standing in the cold and the snow in her nightgown. She had my baby, Lang, with her! I took the baby and asked her what she was doing. Meeting Quinn, she said, then fainted. Alon put her to bed. I'm not letting her go to work for the rest of the week. She looks terrible, pale and drawn. She doesn't bother fixing her hair. She spends the day in her nightgown, wandering around the house.

I may be forced to have her hospitalized.

    From Dalila's Diary--

I am too tired. I need sleep and he won't let me sleep. He wakes me every night. Poor Colin won't share a bed with me anymore because I am so restless, rising in the hours before dawn, roaming the house. Colin wants me to move out with him and away to another city but I know that I'd be followed. Quinn has told me so.

The baby! He almost took the baby. If Emmy hadn't heard the noise and come out after us I would have given her baby to Quinn. I couldn't stop myself. I don't know what came over me. His need so overpowers me. I dream of him . . . I dream of his arms enclosing me...of my submission...it would be so easy to let go.

But I will not. I will stop him. But the dreams...the dreams possess me.

Dalila pleads with Quinn to stay with her.

The sun breaks through and he realizes too late that he has been betrayed.

He runs but is caught in the full glare of the sun.

    And disintegrates.

    Dalila weeps for him.

    Dear Emmy,

I am doing fine now here at the convent. Please don't fret. I will not be joining the order, merely resting for awhile with the kind women here. I need time to adjust to Quinn's death and my part in it. I have assured Colin that I still love him but cannot think of sharing a life with him right now. If he does not want to wait for me I will understand.

I have spoken to Lily, briefly. She loved her father and doesn't really understand what happened. I will continue to write and call her every chance I get. Eventually, I think, she will agree to visit me here.

Please give my love to everyone.

    Your little sister,
    Dalila

 Lots of drama, yes? Actually, killing Quinn was so dreadful that I couldn't bring myself to save the game. He really suffered. :(
