Yes, they're the platinum tombstones. And the pictures on them which you can't see very well in that picture are the aspiration icons (e.g. family, popularity, romance, etc.) You have to be in the platinum when you die. I don't think it has to be the lifetime aspiration because Andrea Sparrow (not Andrea Hogan who came later) had not reached hers but died in a platinum state and got the platinum tombstone. Her husband Duke was in the platinum state as well (they were so lovey-dovey it was easy to keep them there) but since his wife died a few seconds before he did he was instantly depressed and had lost his platinum state when the old G.R. turned to him. They were pretty tombstones (and urns when indoors) but the ghosts were getting troublesome and I had to get rid of them.:(
My little Sparrow family only had two types of tombstones in their cemetery, the plain one and the platinum one. I think it's because those that have died so far died either in the platinum state or the green state (or below). So I don't know yet if there is a special stone when you die in the gold state.
I would guess not. I had a sim die in platinum last night ... very pretty tombstone! I made sure he made his biggest goal for the day because I knew his time was almost up ... he cheated on his second wife so he could have woo hoo with 5 different sims, went into the platinum. His first wife is a noisy ghost! She screams and yells and walks around the yard thinking about her bed, which has been replaced, and in my imagination about her place in her bed, which has also been replaced ... Anyway, he looked right at her as he was taking out the trash, strutted into the house to go make out with his new wife and promptly ... died. How very very ironic. So now he's gone, leaving second wife to tend their kid, who is a toddler. She's already got her sights on Sheldon the mailman. I've never gotten into the NPCs before, but it's kind of fun ... and first wife is still haunting the property, thinking about her bed. She never comes in the house, so I'm waiting for Brandi to want to see a ghost (she's a knowledge sim) and then I'll have her take out the trash or use the telescope or something.
Nope, knowledge. She was in love, Cyn just didn't think so. Dante was quite a hunk, even as an elder, and well, a nice house doesn't hurt ...
