Troubleshooting Game crashes at launch

Hey,

I bought TS3 around when it first came out but never had a chance to play until now. First time playing and it crashes at launch. I've tried re-installing twice with no change.

I have met the system requirements.

I saw that I need to report the dxdiag stuff but I'm not sure what information on there to post here.

Any help would be appreciated;

Try updating your video driver first and see if it helps.
If your dxdiag is right it's 8 years old.

 

I had already updated it. I don't know why the dxdiag says that date.

 

That was the only fly in the ointment that caught my attention but i would suggest you look over at the sims wiki pages and see if you can find anything relevant there.
