Getting rid of vampires

I think that having a Slayer in the neighborhood would be fun. I'd thought about that before. Though, I think Maxis/EA (whomever) are keeping away from the whole sims having any type of weapons thing. You can take the ladder out of the pool, starve them, your cow plant could eat them, but no "murder" by actual sim hands.

I like that about the game, and wouldn't want it to change.

I think it would, however, be interesting to be able to influence people to drink Vamp-D. You know, instead of a "vampire slayer" you could have a "vampire curer."

    She could still be cool.

Really? So if you give a sim bad medicine from that career reward object, it won't make them sick enough to die?

Not sure about that. I think she was referring to actual, physical violence resulting in death of another sim.

Poisoning may still be possible. I've never tried it.

Yep, that's what I was referring to. I haven't tried the poisoning. Never thought of it actually.

Well, just because this is the first vampire thread I saw, I want to gush over my first vampire sim. I ran around all over Downtown for hours just to try to find one of the Grand Vampires, and I finally found Countess Elise Barthelet. I was a little disappointed since my sim, Calantha Dessian, was a female, but hey, I'll take what I can get! :D Anyway, three nights of flirting, dating, kissing, bla bla bla later, she bit me! Yes! Calantha's new thumbnail is now a sort of narrow-eyed smirk, and I absolutely love her. Although I hated how lipstick-less her mouth was. Is black the only lipstick visible on vampire lips?

Also, I was disappointed with the Countess. How...not beautiful she was! I expected her to look exotic and alluring, with maybe dark red lipstick and everything, but she just had one of the default faces...and she was the same in my brother's game, too. :(

Poisoning? As in food poisoning? I food-poisoned one of the other sims in my old neighborhood that I'd made purely so the other sims could fall in love with her, and now she's still barfing up all of my sims' toilets.

I guess I don't really use my conscience during the game, but I wouldn't mind a little violence....I once made a sim that made money by selling the tombstones of the sims he killed. It wasn't a very high-paying job, but I laughed over the irony.

I'll tell you what a vampire will die for -- LOVE! I have a pair that sleep in a DEEP crypt under a gigantic house (which is not the same as the House of Fallen Trees). So one asked the other for a date. They had a good time Downtown and left just as the sun rose. When they got home they had dinner and fooled around in bed for a little while, then I sent them off to their respective coffins. That's when the trouble started.

My female vampire, Candida, kept getting up during the day and heading out to a side porch, carrying flowers. Nothing I could do, even physically moving her with the moveObjects cheat would stop her from that long trek up from the crypt. Once she got the flowers placed exactly where she wanted them, she'd be so far into the red that she'd refuse to go back to her coffin and would just stand there yelling in agony until Grimmy showed up to sweep away the dust.

Not wanting to lose Candida I exited the game without saving and tried again. It happened over and over. Finally, I just put her coffin smack in the middle of the lobby so that when she got up to place the flowers she didn't have far to go and then get back. I had someone look at the flowers. She was giving them, of course, to her lover who continued to sleep peacefully in his coffin in the crypt. It took me awhile, you see, to figure out that the flowers were FROM her and not TO her from her other lover, Count Leonid, who comes stalking around constantly. Why on earth, I kept thinking, does she insist on carrying those dumb flowers around in the middle of the day? (Sometimes I'm real slow.)

Goodness gracious, I went to bed exhausted from my battle to save the stupid little critter, cussin' like a sailor the whole time.

LOL, Lynet. So far Spike and London have been safe ... they mostly have dates at community lots and when they get home it's still dark.

But, good to know. I never thought of that.

Of course, it helps that their coffins are right inside their front door. They don't have far to walk!

That's what Candida gets for being all creepy and earth-bound. :D

And oooh! I know who her boyfriend is (she says in a singsong voice). It's Duke! Bet I'm right ...

Eh, well, with SBW, Lynet, and Kristal none of the threads will ever stay completely on topic. You better get used to it!

..well, actually I started the whole talking-about-vampires thing.

Well, we vamp lovers are hard to control. Kind of an unruly lot.

I'm not sure you can get rid of yours. Ignoring them is probably the best you're going to be able to do.

Also, can vampires get sick, and can they die from sickness? My brother, who's a new player and a little inexperienced, didn't wash the dishes and now his vamp's sick with the flu from the roaches, so...

Dunno. I've never had a sim die from the flu, vamp or otherwise. But then, I send them to bed as soon as it strikes, like a good sim mommy. :D

I imagine if normal sims can die from it, so can vamps.

They don't age, but that doesn't make them impervious.

I had my sim, who autonomously became best friends with one, argue with him until best friend status dropped and had her argue with the Countessa and throw a drink in her face (that really got her mad! she kept following my sim around trying to pick on her). Of course this was before I downlowad simPE and realized I could have just changed the daily/lifetime scores.
I then installed the "no bitting whatsoever" hack and have since ingnored them.

Well, when I saw how cool SBW's vampires looked with sunglasses I put sunglasses on mine. So you can't see the red eyes anymore.

My couple don't have much money yet (I haven't used any money cheats) but they managed to afford a cheap radio. Duke likes to dance and, naturally, I took a couple of pictures. He's very happy because they finally earned enough money to buy a tub which he wanted very badly. Until they got the tub they had to go to the Downtown Spa to take a shower.

Count Leonid still shows up a couple of times a night, waltzing right in as if he lived there. Duke sends him away. Duke used the SimVac on him once, too, and is just waiting for another opportunity to do it again.

I enjoy playing with the vampires. By the way--they have no reflections. Imagine that. I didn't know this until they went to the Spa and saw another vampire talking to a woman in front of a wall of mirrors. In the mirror she was alone.

Way cool. So your vamp is barechested and tattoed, with dreadlocks. Mine wears the traditional formal attire combined with a zorro hat. We should start a fansite for vampire fashion. Clothes for the children of the night. ;) Or has someone done that already?

    Ill! Hahaha :rotfl:

    Lynet,
Why does Duke look like Michael Jackson in those dancing pics? When I saw those the "Smooth Criminal" song came to mind.
