How do I get pets on The Sims Complete Collection? I might sound like a right idiot, but I can't seem to get any pets. I'd like to get a cat, but it seems like I can only adopt them... but you can buy fish, etc. I've tried buying all of the pet 'things' like food dishes, beds, etc, then going down to the town, and all I can do is adopt. I've looked around for cheats and help sites, but nothing's been what I've wanted. :(
Adopting pets is how you buy pets in TS1. Just click on 'Adopt Cat' (or something similar) on their cage thing in downtown and then choose a cat you want. You get to choose a name for your cat and then your sim will automatically go off and pay for your new kitty.
