well install the one that does work. make sure you are choosing the windows xp operating system as well as the graphic driver and RADEON family options on the http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html page. re-install directx (download it from the microsoft site if you absolutely have to, josh posted a link to it in the second post of this topic) and try re-installing the sims 2. also go to this thread: http://forums.worldsims.org/showthread.php?t=2869. try what josh suggests and see if that will work. it will most likely solve your problem. as a last resort, go to ea games technical support and explain your problem to them. edit: sorry I couldn't reply earlier as I had to go to work.
