I like his face, too. I like the interesting faces like his. While playing my game tonight I checked up on Kate. She's a family sim, Pisces. One of her likes is vampires. I think the other is custom hair. Her dislike is fitness. These are original to the townie, because I never deliberately give anyone a preference for vampires. And one of Errol's likes is blondes. His sign is Scorpio. So she likes his hair. I guess she likes it a lot. Maybe they have interests in common, which I didn't look at. Or, maybe Pisces goes with Scorpio, which I don't know anything about. I'm beginning to wonder exactly what the sparks criteria are. :boggled:  Past my bedtime. BTW, Roana Waring wanted a kitten really, really badly. So the Warings adopted a kitten and called him Bony. This was after the headmaster's visit. She was accepted to private school and everyone's mood is platinum. Kate's a good schmoozer.
I had Sarah and Danny move in with one of my families. Finally got them to stop scratching the furniture but having had any babies from them yet. She has to be pregnant though because I don't get the option for them to breed. I've had them in the house for a few days now. I've learned through them that the first command to teach a dog is Come that way you can call them to eat. Poor Sarah almost starved to death always begging for food. I finally had someone feed her scraps until she get full enough to be trained. Ruth
Didn't you buy her a food dish? You have to keep it filled, and you should clean it first, especially if you have a finicky dog. You can put a couple of them around the house to stop them from getting too hungry. If there's a pecking order the dog at the bottom won't always get enough to eat. That's what happened in my household, where there are five dogs. I put dishes in two places and that helped a lot. Pregnant dogs should have a food dish next to their bed. There's a chart somewhere that shows the attraction factors, Lynet. I know Pisces and Cancer like each other, for example. Sims are more attracted to certain sims, above and beyond their physical characteristics. The redheaded dude had two sparks with Lucy, but he was a money sim, which I hate, and she matched both of his turn-ons, which means it was only a superficial attraction. If she took off her makeup and dyed her hair, he'd no longer like her ... but she and Griff will always have two sparks, no matter what, and it's gonna be pretty easy to change it to three. I'm trying to decide if I want to have a rule that I take sims "as is," that is, if a sim marries a money sim, she's stuck with a money sim ... but I'm fixing their turn-ons as I like. I mean, come on, stinky swimsuit girls? My favorite was Cyd's turn-ons. He liked fit fat people. Willow liked muscular guys with black hair (his is brown). They had two sparks anyway. It was pretty easy for them to reach three sparks too, despite their choice of careers. (Maybe in sims 3 there will be more logic behind the characters. That's what I'd really like to see. Graphics are fine, but what would really improve the game would be more realistic interactions, IMHO. Though currently it makes for some good comedy.)
Fit fat sims? LOL. Kate would have been attracted to an unfit (is that the same as undead) vampire. The fact that she's repelled by fitness may explain why her attraction to Errol dropped to 2 sparks, which I noticed last night. He's been working out and is quite fit now. He's also been busy studying for his new career in science, and not talking to her very much. Tsk, tsk. Better watch out, Errol. Poor little teeny kitten. I thought someone would be able to carry it all the way from the mailbox, where the policewoman left it, to the house at the back of a very big lot. But no, he had to walk, trotting along on his itty bitty legs that huge distance in the middle of the night. I right-clicked to lock the camera on him and followed him the entire way. Just wanted to make sure he'd get inside OK. And now I am more and more curious about what Sims 3 could do with interactions. onder: I LOVED what Nightlife added to them. It was a big leap forward.
You can adopt kittens? I thought you could only adopt adult cats! I never saw any kittens or puppies in the adoption menu thingy.
Yep, they're there. They are 3 little gray critters named Bailey, Cimmy and something else. I think they're all boys, which is stupid. I could be wrong, though ... "something else" might be female. You can change their names when you adopt them and their appearance when they grow up. I added white paws to Cimmy, and renamed him Milo. He's a pretty good cat. Also, if your cat has kittens you can put some up for adoption, which will add to the pool. I've put 3 puppies up for adoption so far (I only want to keep one per litter ... hey, I'm not insane.)
Danny & Sarah will not eat from the pet dishes no matter how many there are, that's the problem with them. You have to retrain their bad 'street dog' behaviour to get them to act like pet dogs. Cass.
Yup, that's the problem I had. Sarah was pregnant and hungry all the time and wouldn't eat from the pet food dish I put out for them. So I fed them treats to keep them alive. I didn't know about feeding them scraps. I'll deal with Mr. Geike and Danny and Sarah and the three puppies some day. They're going to be one of those bang-your-head-against-the-wall-and-curse-until-the-air-turns-blue families, so I'm putting it off for awhile. Just occurred to me, I have this other family of 4 adults that I can move them in with...Hehehehe. :stirthepot:
Today I placed the futuristic Kim family and the Kat lady family in Tropico. I moved Cyd Roseline? in with the Kat lady at the moment. Not sure where Danny and Sarah will go, as they're still in the family bin. I thought I might put some supporting cast members into the Robot Married A Woman story. By the way...the granddaughter of Brittany Upsnott + Chandler "that child townie" Platz = a cute kid. I guess the bad traits (the sharp cheeks of Upsnott and the poofy cheeks and lips of BJ Cormier) have evened themselves out in the fifth generation. Also, Bender's great-grandchildren are adorable as well. That makes me feel better.
Actually, I had a hard time the first time I tried them with a sim but on my second try (different neighbourhood) I figured out how to work with them. All you need to do is to place plates of food on the floor, let them eat enough so they're not starving and then scold them for eating sim food. It should only take two or three scoldings and you'll find they'll use the pet dishes. Then praise them as soon as they do and praise them as much as you can. They're not that difficult to live with if you're consistant with scolding the bad behaviour (just follow it up with a belly rub or treat afterwards so your sims relationship with them doesn't go down too much). Cass.
Aramis turned out very funny looking! I thought I'd share. I love him anyway, but he's really an unfortunate looking dog. You can't tell in this picture, but he has no tail!
awww...he's one of those "he's so ugly he's cute" kind of dogs! lol...poor boy, but I'm sure he doesn't realize he's "unfortunate" looking.
Are Sarah's pups fathered by Danny? He's not in their family tree on my game and all the pups look just like her. Aramis is adorable in a fugly kind of way. I love the odd looking ones. Hehehehe! Cass.
I decided to adopt another kitten so Bony would have company. I let the other kitten keep the name it came with -- Cymmi (?). Cymmi likes to play with the cat toys, which Bony does not. So Bony really is boring. Meanwhile, Kate and Errol became elders *sigh*and since Errol allowed himself to become unfit -- ate too much dinner -- the two of them are back up to 3 sparks for each other. Kate's a silly sim. But she's crazy about that man. And since I'm here and putting up pictures, I might as well put one up of Roana as a teenager. In this picture she hasn't yet had time to get a new outfit or put on makeup or anything. And Errol playing the drums the day before he transitioned to elder. They're all still on the island although they now have access to the rest of the world. They like it there so they're staying. They even paved a little patch of the dirt road right in front of their house.
