It may very well be because of some of your drivers could be outdated and are not taking advantage of key features within the game.
The GeForce 4 is your problem. I'm not sure exactly what the minimum graphics chipset is for the cutscenes, but a GeForce 4 is not enough. I just got a GeForce 6600 GT with my Christmas money and am finally experiencing all the cutscenes for the first time.
Thats what i have, the GeForce 4. No cut scenes but I can run the game with no real problems. Hopefully soon I can save up the money and get a better card.
Yep, I have that GeForce 4 too. Hubby's shopping around and pricing a better graphics card for me, and still cussing because his baby is not up to playing that stupid game he hates anyway, it plays his bass-pro-game, some loud crappy submarine game, and Star Trek something or other just fine. (Anybody starting to see the real problem in our house? To many gamers and not enough computers to play them on? LOL)
I can understand about to many gamers in the house. Fortunatly I am the only one that usually gets to play on the computer but we have 2 PS2s and 2 tvs in the living room. There are many times when I am on the computer, my boyfriend is on one PS2 and his 8 year old son is on the other one. And my 1 year old son already knows how to hold the controller and move the mouse, he just doesn't understand what they do yet
Haha this is crazy. Spend $60.00 on a game and then having to spend hundreds more to bring your computer up to speed. I think I am just going to resist the urge and do without the cut scenes However, I recently started playing on a better computer with 1 gig of memory and turned on all the graphic features. Wow what a difference that makes.
Funny. Geforce4 ti (keyword: ti, not MX) cards are very nearly as good as GeforceFX cards. I know from personal experience that a Geforce4 ti 4200 is faster than a GeforceFX 5200. Most GeforceFX cards weren't really very much a big leap in speed or performance over Geforce4, just hardware DirectX8 support (Geforce4 is DX7 based). And all the special event cutscenes require is some post processing, which Geforce4's should be able to handle. @Daizee: Um. Boyfriend... 8 year old son... 1 year old son... boyfriend?
Pardon me for jumping in, but I think she means that she has a boyfriend with an 8 year old son, and she has a 1 year old son. Am I close, Daizee?
woo hoo movie i dont think i get the movies?? i just see the sheets move and legs come out and a few fireworks, is that the movie??
Its alright, but what i found bad was that there was no preacher or anything. The last time i checked, (unless you got married in Las Vegas), weddings had preacher guys that stood there and said stuff that the bride and groom had to repeat. other than that, it was alright.
Even in Vegas someone has to perform the ceremony but if you go to the right chappel you can get Elvis to do it
There's a f***** woohoo movie, too! I knew there was one for your first kiss that I can't see, but a woohoo one? My video card must be the size of a peanut!
What lyrical use of anglo-saxon verbiage kittykat? Sadly until you get a video card the size of a brazil the secret of the Thumper-foot bedpost will remain an eternal mystery to you ...
Snap except I have a 256MB GeForce Fx5600 ... and I get the special event movies ... but out of interest I clicked the highest detail level setting for movies ... (the game question my sanity but I insisted) and recording video vcaused the game to slow right down and judder ... but next time a special event kicked in it really slowed down. Mind you the detail was incredible ... Guess I need to look for a 6800 ... eh, Kat?
