Issues with Sims game on Mac OSX; Please help!

    Hey,
I just bought an old version of the Sims off of Ebay; it's the Party Pack version. It installed fine and it went through the intro scenes. But when it got to the page where the game would load I got a message saying that the screen couldn't adjust to either the 800x600 screen nor the other one. Is there some sort of Download I need to get the game to work? I bought my Mac only a few months ago so it's the OSX 10.5 version I think. Any suggestions?

I wonder if this version of The Sims is compatible with Leopard...

swmeek I got your benevolent dictator pal!!

What about forcing the game to run in a window?
Right mouse click the desktop shortcut for the game and click properties.
Once the small window opens up you'll see the Target line.
click inside the box and then press the right arrow until your cursor goes all the way to the end.
press the space bar and add -w to the end of the words.
Remember it there should be a space between the last letter and the hyphen mark.
Click apply and and ok and try it then.
if it doesn't work go back and remove the space and the letters and change it back to what it was.
Like Josh said though it may be a Leapord incompatiblity issue!
