Welcome. I see this is your first post. I'm at MATY too but I've been kind of turned off by all the stupidity. There are a lot of smart people there, don't get me wrong, and a lot who know how to be civil, but there are one or two that seem to really enjoy being childish and mean (and I'm not necessarily talking about the site's founder).

Plus, a lot of in-jokes that apparently I am not meant to get. I do enjoy some of the humor, and like you I like the benefits the hacks give my game, but I don't think I'd be welcome there, not that I ever really felt at home.

I don't think you'll get much of any of the above here. This is by far my favorite sims site for that reason, and because I feel like I've made some real friends on this site.

So anyway, hope you enjoy your stay.

I think it's great that you're not stooping to his level - I doubt you would be able to reach the keyboard.

 

Man this thing has gone waaaay out of control. I understand Pescado is upset and all, but he's just gone nuts over at MATY. From what I've been reading, it seems people are feeling a little intimidating over there at the moment. I don't blame them really, I was too scared to even say something incase the wrath of Pes was rained down on me. Personally I much prefer Worldsims. It's a nice little family here. So cosy.

You know this is none of my business and I probably shouldn't be saying anything at all but I'm going to throw my 2 cents in anyway. Josh it seems to me that you did treat him like a paying customer, for a long time too. By that I mean that I remember him saying he was having some sort of problem and you seemed to try your best to fix it. When you really get down to brass tacks that's all that you are supposed to do even for a paying customer. You should not be expected to allow someone to abuse you or downgrade you.

Now that my 2 cents are in the ring that's about all I have to say.

I was just coming back to say that otherwise I agree completely with what you have to say. You do treat people very nicely here, even cantankerous ones.

And I wanted to say also, if Mr. Pescado is reading this, that I bear him no ill will. I've always enjoyed his posts, up to this little fit he seems to be having. If this is an example of his sense of humor it's pretty well hidden from me. It just seems strange, since he seemed like a reasonable person up to now. Grouchy, occasionally mean, yes, but more or less reasonable.

So anyway, I miss the old Pescado and hope he comes back some day.

 

I actually do too, but I'm a little freaked out right now.

I've got enough to take care of in RL, this stuff is supposed to be fun, an escape. He's crossed a line now and I just don't want to deal with it anymore. If that means living without his hacks and forums, I can do that.

 

I hear you, and you're absolutely right. If it's not fun why go there?

 

Maybe there's something going on in JMP's RL that has gotten out of his control, making him act nuts.

Someone once said, "Friends come and go, but enemies accumulate." Very wise, I think, and something JMP might want to think about. Living in isolation, without friends, isn't healthy.

My two favorite sites at war. I guess I'm a "Spy" too, or an enemy of the people, or whatever, being a mod here. I wonder if I turn myself in to JMP,I'll get my reward and then get banned.

So he cleaned up the thread and I didn't get to see Mirelly lambasting him. That's a shame. Mirelly, girl, I would have helped you tell him how wrong he is, had I only known.

This just further bolsters my theory that JMP is a very spoiled teenager that lives in his mother's basement.

I think it's all very sad. I play with many of his "awesome" hacks. I post over here because y'all are my friends. I post over there because I also consider those people my friends. (I guess until I became a known "spy").

The Sims are my hobby and I will continue to enjoy my Sims. I'm guessing I haven't been banned there yet, I haven't tried to post, though.

Just feeling sad right now. Sorry, y'all.

 

Meanwhile, over at MATY, Inge is now saying that it was Pescado's little prank ... go figure, huh!

 

Like I said, I thought it might be a sample of his sense of humor, but I kind of failed to see the funny.

Oh, well. Glad he hasn't gone off his medication after all.
