Duzzy clearly did a better job of creating parents than I did. Her second generation brood turned out nice looking. (My poor Lily, on the other hand.) Babe, I like big noses. Wish I had one. Mine's boring. That's why I went looking for sim townies with big, romantic noses. All this chit-chat and no pictures to look at. Pictures, anyone, of all these sets of twins? (I like pictures )
Alas, mine are long dead in the great motherboard earthquake of 2005. They were from my first neighborhood. I was really looking forward to installing nightlife and seeing who actually liked their spouses LOL ... but if it hadn't crashed I might never have come up with Porta de Luca. So it all worked out.
Just a taster ... two new sims of mine that are providing the next generation of mates for my core families "she" is called Mirelly because I decided that she looks a little like I might do if one were to squint a little and turn down the lights. Actually I guess that's a way of saying that she has a curiously anodyne face that kinda make you think of someone you know ... "he" is called Tolly and he also just happened in Body Shop as I experiment with different chins and noses and I thought ... ooh now he looks unusual without being ugly. Just what Mirelly needs. My poor sims. IRL matches may very well be made in Heaven but in in my sims' milieu matches are made on a whim. (Later on I will have pics of their brood and also some pics of one of my families 2nd & 3rd generations ... there's a bad jaw gene in that family and then men have taken to wearing full beards ... so far there have been no daughters but one of the sons has just had a baby daughter so I'm gonna spend Saturday simming instead of er ... housework )
Mirelly, they are very unusual looking sims. Very realistic. Are their genetics from Heleane's site? I love her stuff, use it all the time. Anyway, we were talking about noses, and so I got an up-close and personal on a sim last night I wanted to show off. He's an in-game born sim, and I have no idea where the nose came from! Both his parents have beautiful noese, and both were CAS sims. His brother also has a normal looking noes. But, poor John Paul!!!! He also resembled that actor, Paul Giamoni (or something like that) the little chubby bald actor from "Sideways" and a whole other bunch of movies. Hubby and I always remember him as "Pig Vomit" from "Howard Stern's Private Parts" movie. But, he fell in love with Leia Hicks. and Leia is gorgeous, so I let him visit the "Hair club for Sims" and loose the belly. Not doing plastic surgery on the nose, I want to see if he passes it down. LOL Picture #1: The close-up profile of John Paul and his nose. Picture #2: Mr. and Mrs. John Paul Moore celebrate their marriage. Picture #3: Just for refference, here's John Paul's brother Samuel.
Cool sims!! Both of you! So real. I think, Kristal, that John Paul has got the George MacCarthy nose. In my game George was a shaggy haired store clerk (townie) who married into the Sparrow family (Sybil) and contributed his hawk profile to their genetics. I've tried a couple of times, without any success, to make a sim resemble me. So I have no self-sims in the game. Maybe I should try again. If I come up with anything I'll post it here. I should probably start with this smiley: . I think that's what I look like, except at work when I look like :(
FYI, Kristal, plastic surgery has no effect on genetics. He can look like Adonis and still pass down that nose. I've been having fun "aging" my sims. I gave Orlando a receding hairline. He still looks cute, IMHO ... and Xander got rid of his "flip" and has a more normal haircut now. He also dresses more like an adult. They're still adults, not elders, but they've got teenagers now, and I thought, no 40 year old dresses like that LOL.
Alright For Jawing ... ... as long as it's not made of glass. I present The French family. Edward French married Clarice Fawcett as soon as they graduated from Pennfield University College They had very little dough to start with so photography wasn't a high priority. They had two sons, Ronin and Tallin whose jaws seemed a trifle too big for their faces. Clarice was always more striking than beautiful but as she has aged I think I can see where her sons that jaw from :( Anyway this Ronin with his wife Tiffany (whom he met during his fresher year at PUC) ... This is Ronin as he nromally looks. The bear helps balance out his face Tiff with her firstborn (the first French grandchild), Reena Reena as a child ... poor kid. Ain't she cute. I hope she grows into that nose
Yep, Kristal. All my genetics are Heleane's. Re noses, I decided that I love big schnozzles too. I'm also exploring a few more face types ... long and thin, short and round. The only thing I avoid is little piggy eyes cos that's what I got stuck with and I see no reason to make my sims suffer the same "affliction" (I was Revlon's best customer at one time can't be arsed now ... besides specs make eyes look bigger )
Mirelly, it is spooky how real that Ronin looks in the middle pic!!! He looks like a businesman or a professor or some other type of intelligent, take-charge kind of guy. Maybe he'll even make A Prime Minister some day. He just has that look about him.
That is one amazing jawline, Mirelly. And I notice Helaene's eyes. They're so real they haunt you. *shudders*
I downloaded the Heleane-default-replacements from MTS2. The eyes are even more shocking when they turn up in townies and dormies.
Nope, no ill effects. I've had them installed for several months. This is one of the papergirls. I grew her up to send off to college with her boyfriend, but I didn't do a thing to her eyes. This is what the "default replacements" look like.
Thanks for the lead, Kristal. I'm going to hunt down that hack because I've become so accustomed to Helaene's very natural looking eyes that I find the Maxis eyes unattractive. Haunting they may be, but I'm addicted. To the skin tones, too, as a matter of fact. I wonder if there is default-hack for them in the works as well.
Thanks! It was totally unplanned though. I had created the parents not even to be together, though they were my first 3 sparks couple. I was shocked and just had to go with it. I was rather pleased with their children. Though, if I'm not paying attention, I often forgot who was who and had to scan over them with the mouse to see which one was/is which. I just created two more characters to play through University. We'll see what happens with them, either together or with others.
This isn't very close-up and you can't see all the faces, but I just had to grab this pic last night of my biggest Sim family having dinner together. Starting with Dad who is closest to the camera... that's Manuel Goth, adopted son of Cassandra. He transitioned to Elder later that night. Going clockwise, next is the youngest child, Clover, who had just transitioned from Toddler. Incidentally, because she had been a Toddler right up until dinner time, her energy was so drained that when she finished eating she promptly passed out on the floor. Next is Mom, Topaz (Summerdream) Goth. Though I know it causes problems for many, I moved the Summerdream family from Veronaville to Pleasantview way back when I first got the game and have had no problems. Topaz is the first of two additional children born to the Summerdreams after I moved them. She transitioned to Elder the next day after this dinner. Next, adopted son Anthony, who is older than Clover but adopted after she was born (when Manuel and Topaz discovered they had gotten too old to conceive again). Second child Domino, who had transitioned from Child to Teen early that morning. Then the oldest, Apple, who transitioned to Adult the next day (I transitioned her early, at the point I would have sent her to college, as I had opted not to send her but need to have her move out to make the household a bit more manageable). And finally, a dinner guest, Alon Tellerman, who came home from school with Domino that day. On a side note, you'll notice I had five out of the six Sims in this family have age transitions in a 2-Sim-day span. If ever there was a way to bring the game to a grinding halt, that's it.
