My computer keeps shutting down when I "create a sim" Hi Every time that I look on create a sim and click on 'looks'- my computer freezes and then comes up with a blue screen telling me to shut down my computer to prevent damage to it. I have turned it off but everytime it says the same message. What can I do to let sims 3 work on my computer? thanks

it may be your graphics card. i had the same issue and i had to update my card before it started running alright. and it would only start messing up as i would try to actually play the game. to see if you have a working card go to Run and type in dxdiag and click ok. a screen will pop up. click on the Display tab. and your graphics card information should be under Devices. now see if that matches any of the compatible cards on the back of the game case. if not, then you have to buy a new one to play the game which at cheapest could be $50.
