    My Sims 3 Crashes

I can play in CAS for 5-10 mins and then it either freezes, flashes the blue screen of death and crashes so my moniter says No Signal and i have to manually restart, and every once in awhile it crashes and then it restarts itself. I've tried it in safe mode, updated drivers, even had my power supply replaced..it's not overheating either. Help!

Google 'disable automatic restart on system failure' and disable the auto restart. Give us the info the BSOD brings up.

Down the bottom left, does it give you the name of the file that is causing it to bug?

no there is nothing at the bottom left, just a stop code, and it's a different code every time..

Try installing an older set of drivers and see if that help.
A STOP 0xC5 is a driver corrupt message. Try and record any STOP error you come across and we'll see if they appear to be linked in any way.

Try running a memtest http://www.memtest86.com/download.html as all these errors seem to point to some memory error. Only problem is that while it could be the normal RAM which the memtest will test, it could also be the video RAM on your graphics card.

i just had my video card replaced last week, so i wouldn't think that is the problem... how would i go about installing older drivers? this is all so crazy,my computer plays crysis without a hitch, you'd think that it would be able to handle the sims 3 too....

    Old driver: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_182.50_whql.html

I would try running a memtest to ensure that it's not the RAM. If this is happening in around the same point in the game, I would start looking at the game being the problem. Does it crash when playing a family and not using CAS?

i will try the memtest. and yes it does indeed crash if i use a premade sim family..i can't help but think it's a bug in the game itself, but getting EA to admit that and to stop blaming my computer, i won't hold my breath.:(
