As I write this I can hear the Sims music and can see the program in the task bar. When I click the button it opens and I get visual for about a second or two before it minimizes again. I also get a message that pops up that says Optimal Resolution Notification This is not the optimal screen resolution for the primary display device. The optimal resolution is 1366 x 768. I don't understand what I'm supposed to change and if that's even affecting the game. I checked and it said that the computer was already set to that resolution. I have no idea where to even
You need to set the resolution for the game from within the options panel of the game. More than likely you've got it set to where it exceeds that resolution somehow and it's overwhelming your crappy integrated chipset. Make sure you also have the most current video drivers from your laptop's support site and try again. If it still won't , uninstall the game and reinstall it and see if that helps. When you start the game up make sure the resolution is set at the lowest you can set it for. Don't take this the wrong way but Intel video chipsets are worthless for gaming.
