    Sims 3 Update

    I have a iMac running Snow Leopard 10.6.1, 2.66 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo.
    I have "Sims 3" 1.2.7.1 and when I try to apply update it says "Some of the files have been modified. Please Re-Install".
    In the Log there are three things in red:
    Contents/Frameworks/wineserver -> SHA1 Error
    Contents/MacOS/cider ->SHA1 Error
    Contents/MacOS/cider_noui ->SHA1 Error

    swmeek I got your benevolent dictator pal!!

    Did you by chance swap out the shaders precomp file (censor remover) and/or the resource cfg files?
    You need to have the original files to apply any patches.

    Yep, looks like the files have been changed in some way and are failing the SHA1 checksum.

    I have the Sims 3 installed on my iMac with a non-administrator account and the updates/patches works as they should, but I don't have snow leopard installed. I'm pretty sure swmeek and flameback are correct. Always remove all of your mods folders and files needed for the mods to work before you update anything to have less chances of problems...
