Well, I hope your friend calls soon, dj. Going out to play baseball (if you're talking about a game outdoors and not on the computer ;) ) sounds like a a good way to spend the evening.

I'm spending mine in front of this computer.

SBW, Izzy obviously knows all about Wednesday, poor little thing. Animals know alot more than we give them credit for, I think.

I love your new avatar. Welcome to the kissy kissy club. :p

I'm in a good mood because ... drum roll ... Shana helped me fix PDL!!! We debugged it using the lot debugger. I was too chicken and rattled to do it on my own so she came over and held my hand.

And brought sorry your cat died presents. How sweet is that?

Shana, you're the best! Thank you!!!!

Just wanted to say it publicly so everyone would know what a sweetie you are. Not that they didn't already.

And, as Babe would say, WOOOT!!! PDL is up and running.

It's a nice end to an icky week.

*steps up and takes a bow* thank you, thank you ;)

Honestly I didn't do much, like SBW said, just kind of held her hand while she did it. But the sims are no longer jumpy!

And as far as the "sorry your cat died presents" like I said, I just have a guilty pleasure out of making people feel better! Makes me feel wonderful. You all deserve it after this week! :D

We had our game. I was the starting pitcher for my team. My team lost 12-10 to my friend's team. We only play 4 inning games, and walks count as an at-bat. I hit 5 for 12 with 4 walks and 2 strikeouts. I pitched 2.66 innings with 5 strikeouts, 8 walks, and 9 runs allowed. My teamate couldn't help me much, because he can't pitch any better than I can, and he also can't field better than me. My friend's teamate started and pitched 3 innings with 4 strikeouts, 12 walks, and 8 runs allowed. I think my team's problem was that our best player couldn't show up. My friend is his team's best player, and he shows up for every game, even games that his team isn't involved in, which puts his squad at an immediate adavantage.

For those of you that don't understand baseball at all, I suggest not reading the above paragraph.

What's new for me is in a week I have a murder mystery party to go to. I have to find an outfit like Lucille Ball's. That's who I'm going as. So a trip round the op shops I think. Mr just has to dress like Bruce Lee, which is easy. Karate pants and that's all. Whatever you do, do NOT look into Melbourne next Sat night, I wouldn't wish that sight upon anybody :D . Anyone got a red wig they can lend me?

Shana, I commend you on bringing PDL updates back to my world. Yay! I wish someone here lived near me...sometimes I need someone to hold my hand, 'specially when I lost my sims a few weeks back. You guys are so lucky! ;)

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat, SBW. Wednesday is a cool name :)

I agree with Person123, you guys are so lucky.

Yes, we are. I feel truly lucky to have found so many friends, near and far. We were just saying last night that we wished you all lived closer, too.

What's new in my world is my sister's wedding venue may not work out, and she's getting married next week! The shyster who rented her the space is asking for a lot more money. I don't know any details other than that, but what a jerk. I'm pretty sure this isn't legal, but I'm not sure what they're going to do about it.

I'm sure she's too busy "doing something about it" to let me know what's going on. Poor her. What a snafu. The place was going to do the catering too, so now they're scrambling.

Boo, hiss. He's got some baaaaaad karma coming his way. He could at least have had the decency to let them know months ago, or up front. The way he's doing it tells me a lot about his character. As in he has none.

In other news, the dog is still afraid of the back yard. But Shana helped me there, too! She said she had a pet (sorry, hon, can't remember if you said dog or cat) whose animal friend died in the living room and the pet wouldn't go in there for a month and a half. So Izzy's behavior makes more sense to me now. Her friend is buried out there, and I don't know if it's fear or respect but she won't "go" on the grass. Literally or figuratively.

I've started taking her for walks to ahem, do her business. (Sounds like she needs a little briefcase, doesn't it?)

Edited to say: Wednesday, and her late brother Puggsley, came pre-named. But I probably would have named them that anyway. It suited them.

What's new with me is that I suddenly have really dry skin on my legs. I have no idea why. I'm gonna have to use those bath mitten things again and scrape it all off. *sigh* I thought I got rid of the problem last winter.

Has anyone realized that not many of the male members have posted in this thread?

Oy! Dry skin! What with my flaky legs and the insect bites I am currently just a great big itch looking for a scratcher

123 you have all my sympathy. You might like to check that your dry skin is not a allergic reaction to laundry detergent ....

Sit in a tub and soak for a while. Scrub gently with a loofa, and then slather your legs with lotion that has oatmeal or aloe in it. Natural is best, and Mirelly might be right: did your Mom change detergents lately? It could also be the soap you're using.

Good luck! Dry skin is no fun.

If it persists you should see a dermatologist. It could be allergy related.

BOOO HISS on him from me as well! You'll have to let me know who that place is so I remember in the future not to use him.

I don't expect you to remember all my little stories. They were two dogs, Mandy and Buffy! Buffy, two years younger than Mandy was the one who passed away. They were best friends those two, being raised together since Buffy was a little puppy. 12 and 14 when they respectively passed away. Mandy sadly enough passed away from cancer about 4 months after Buffy died. I like to think they are running around together in heaven, chasing heavenly little golden tennis balls!

123, it's just a gossip thread for the gals. ;) When you've got rid of the dry skin, make sure you use a really good moisturiser and leave it on all night while you sleep.

I went to a Saint Paul Saints game last night. Since we didn't order in advance, we had to buy "Fashionably Late" tickets, because that's all that was left 1.5 hours before the game. That meant we couldn't enter the game until a half-hour into it, but we could get seats in any of the reserved sections, if the original person didn't show up. A lot of people didn't show up. There were a couple of bachelor parties there, and the more obnoxious/wild/crazy one was sitting 5 rows back of where I was sitting. There was a point after the Rally Flags were handed out that they were waving them like tomahawks. The music guy caught a foul ball, and the Saints had a rally of 7 runs in the 7th after the rally flags were handed out. The game started at 7:05 pm, and I didn't get home until midnight! There were many wacky promotions, and they always were between every half-inning.

@Babe: It is?!? I wasn't aware of that! Anyways, your advice actually could prove useful to many of the male members with dry skin as well. Just about all members of the human race have a high maintenance body.

    LOL, djrules.

Also, I get the feeling you're a baseball fan. And it sounds like you had a rousing good time last night. You almost make me want to go to a game myself. ;) But I'm not keen on being in big crowds of people. I'm short, and crowds make me feel a little claustrophobic.

    suitemichelle Gramma's here!

home today from the wedding, AnnJeanette saved the day... three days before the wedding so much was undone because of Moselle's procrastination. Sometimes I wish someone would leave two subliminal messages in her mind... 1-It's okay to ask for help 2-It's okay to be organized and not procrastinate.

but she's married and it was a nice wedding. nuf said.

I am a baseball fan, and this stadium has a capacity of somewhere between 5,000 and 10,000 people. They managed to squeeze in 9,000+ fans one game to set an attendance record for their baseball league!
