at the official website. I'm not sure of the link. But if you go to www.thesims.com there is a link there to the offical website.
After much anticpation, Maxis was gracious enough to release some preliminary system requirements for The Sims 2. As of September 12, 2003, these are the requirements for your computer. Please note they are subject to change at any time. System Requirements -128MB of RAM for Windows 98, 2000, or ME (256MB of RAM For Windows XP) -Graphics: GeForce or Radeon Series or Better -CPU: 600MHz (if you have one of the video cards above). Those who have less powerful cards will need a more powerful CPU. -Those who do not have a powerful video card, or a lower end model, you will most likely need a 1.5GHz processor. -Monitor Resolution: 800x600 (Lower performance machines are advised to run in lower resolution as usual.) Currently there are two teams at Maxis working on improving performance while reducing the amount of processing required. Keep in touch here at WorldSims as more details are being released. We'll release them as soon as we receive it and clear it with Maxis.
How would I go about finding out if my graphics card is considered "or better" than the GeForce or Radeon Series ones? I'm guessing it's probably not... but I'd like to know if I could find out.
ok I did that. Under the date and computer name it says all this: Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Language: English (Regional Setting:English) System Manufacturer: INTELR System Model: AWRDACPI BIOS: Phoenix-AwardBIOS v6.00PG Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz Memory: 512MB RAM Page file: 344 MB used, 894MB available DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0 (4.09.0000.0900) I wish it had let me copy and paste it instead of writing it all down in notepad! So there might be a typo, but that's about it. Now what does it all MEAN?

I'm an old bird new to gaming. Never played a game that held my interest more than the briefest of times... until The Sims hooked me. My question: has there been any talk of a Mac version of Sims 2? And I'm assuming that user made objects will not be able to run in Sims 2, is that right?
my comp is like 2 yrs old would that be considered an old computer....if i have to get anything replaced it would be RAM and a graphics card...my processor is 1.3 Ghz
