I got to thinking the other night about different meta game aspects to SimCity. What could be done that could affect the city in a positive or negative way, yet if you choose not to engage in them, the game would still run? I'm thinking traffic management would be fun to have. Manage roads and direct traffic onto exclusively one way streets. Or have cars drive on the wrong side of the road (or the correct side for our UK residents) Maybe be able to manage what trains end up on what tracks? What about being able to manage the flow of air traffic landing and taking off from airports?
Sounds like an EP to me. This sounds a bit like Cities in Motion, which I enjoyed quite a lot and it would be even nicer if I then took over management of transport in a city that I actually built.
