TSR to launch The Sims 3 Workshop, a tool to create custom content Chalk one up for the folks over at TSR!* Ever since they got back from the Creator’s Camp in January they put together a team and created a tool to allow everybody (yes, I stated everybody) to create custom meshes for the game.* The Sims 3 Workshop will allow for plug-ins so it’s not limited to strictly TSR, any programmer should be able to contribute.* The way it works:* users can import new meshes (.obj files) and will allow you to define up to 4 selections on an object to be compatible with the ‘Create-a-Style’. Steve stated that the tool will be available within the first few weeks of the game’s release.* They also defined the EULA to where it can be used freely for anyone - whether they decide to create content for free, donations or even subscription based.* Hopefully this won’t open up another ****-storm but I have a feeling that may happen. Either way, I have to say I’m looking forward to learning more about the tool.* Keep your eye on this site, or better yet, The Sims 3 Workshop for the latest news!
