Perhaps not even that much System_Zero. I don't think I'd be able to put a computer together, I don't really have the time or the skills, but our techie bloke who looks after our office stuff put one together for me a couple of years ago for about AU$200. Can't remember specs off the top of my head, but it runs TS2 with virtually no problems (occasionally a little slow to load, but that's about it). :D

Well, I am proof that you dont have to have alot of money to put togather a decent computer system. I always build mine on what I call the installment plan.

That is, I buy a high end motherboard first along with case, CD burner, etc. Then I generally get a second rate end CPU and about 512 of "Value RAM". Thats enough to get me up and running and play most games.

Then as time goes along and I find myself not being able to play all the games I'd like, and as I have time to save up, I buy a high end VID card. Eventually I get a first gen CPU and upgrade my RAM.

I always start with a high end MB because it allows me to keep up later on when I can afford the CPU I want. Eventually though, even the MB becomes outdated and either the CPU limits caps out too low (Sometimes this can be changed with a new BIOS) or some other such thing happens. At that point I buy a new MB and recycle most of my old componants and start over again.

So far Ive had only two computers in varying stages in the past 6 years and have always been able to play all the games I've wanted to. For me the key is having a computer that is always upgradable. You pay as you need to and it allows you time to save up for what you need.
