    Oops. Thanks.
Amazing! I would never have thought of that. Charging in the sunlight is pretty impressive, though. I just saw it for the first time last night.

    ....that's a good one. :)

I just saw the charging in the sun for the first time yesterday too, it is cool. However, they can't charge at night, obviously. For the story (in my head) I just thought it would be nice to have someplace where they could retire/power themselves down, but didn't want them to use beds like regular sims.

Although it's cool to watch a servo being recharged in sunlight, one has to wonder why they can't just plug themselves into the same power grid that runs the sim's other electrical appliences? I mean really, if your smart enough to invent a servo robot you should also be smart enough to fit him with a wall plug! ;)

    yay!

I of course now must get a Servo and name it Frank.

Has anyone found out if you can really woohoo with them, and do they have needs or anything?

At this point I have 6 Servos. One family has 4 of them. They help run the restaurant the family owns. They are fully controllable and will pretty much work forever just about (as opposed to employees.) I have them serving and cooking, mostly, although they've also done pretty well as host/ess.

They do "change clothes" but it's limited to "change to formal." The male outfit is a klutzy tuxedo with the sleeves shredded or rolled up. (I haven't decided yet which it looks more like.) The females change into this horrid peptobismol pink short sheath dress. It too looks a little shredded in parts. Ick.

The other family has just 2 Servos. The male Servo is an excellent cosmetologist (as that's what he had as "random talent"). However, he only gets business when it's for free (even when I've dropped the price to "ridiculously cheap.") So, we're going to have to have some changes to that business.

The biggest problem is their penchant for doing unneeded chores. I'm sick and tired of them cooking food when no one is hungry and it's not something that one of the restaurant patrons has requested. Grrrr. They won't stick to the "chores" that I set them.

Mine is always fixing what I think is baked alaska and serving it up on every table on the lot. Then he sits down and eats a plate of it himself. It's always the baked alaska, too. It looks pretty unappetizing, actually.

What I assign the chore of building robots, though, he keeps at it until the money runs out.
